This week’s SmackDown started as Triple H was seen standing inside the ring. He welcome everyone to the season premiere of WWE Friday Night Smackdown. Today’s White Rabbit QR Code was seen on the microphone of Triple H. Possibilities are getting stronger that the White Rabbit is going to be Joe Gacy.
The Bloodline interrupted Triple H and they came out to the arena. As anyone would think that they would going to confront Triple H but when they entered the arena Triple H was already gone. Roman Reigns cut a short promo before Paul Heyman got into the mic.

Logan Paul interfered who is going to be the opponent of Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel. Heyman cut a really long promo on what would happen to Logan Paul at Crown Jewel. Logan Paul tried to play mind game with Roman Reigns and a future feed between Roman and Jey Uso was teased here. Sami Zayn stopped them and warned Logan for Crown Jewel. Logan got terribly booed by the fans.
Match 1 – Solo Sikoa defeated Ricochet
This match was booked for almost six minutes and the winning run of Solo continued. But WWE is definitely not doing the right thing by making Ricochet job every week. What was the point of pushing him through Happy Corbin then if he has to job every week now? Solo pinned Ricochet with the Spinning Solo
The Hit Row was making their entrance for the next match of the night. As they entered the ring they got attacked by three suited man in lucha masks. They beat down Hit Row badly and Zelina Vega also appeared and beat down B Fab. The masked men revealed to be Legado Del Fantasma.
Match 2 – Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Sonya Deville and Xia Li
This match was booked for only two minutes and it was booked just to promote Shotzi and Rodriguez as a tag team. They earned an easy victory in this match. Rodriguez pinned Deville with the Tejana Bomb.
A long pre recorded promo was shown promoting the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match between Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey at the Extreme Rules pay per view. Just a reminder that this match would be an Extreme Rules match.
Karrion Kross came out to the arena along with Scarlett. As he entered the ring he got attacked by Drew McIntyre. He was beating down but security guards came out and dragged him out of the Ring. Kross attacked him and this time he be team down with a strap.
Match 3 – Braun Strowman and The New Day defeated The Usos and Sami Zayn
This match was booked for seven and a half minutes and together shocking outcome. But as long as Braun Strowman was involved in this match, it was difficult to believe that he would lose any match by any means right now. Xavier Woods pinned Jimmy Uso to earn the victory for his side.
Backstage Max Dupri was seen attacking the Maximum Male Models. Maxxine Dupri attempted to stop him. Max said that he did not want to be addressed by that name ever again. He was LA Knight. So thankfully, LA Knight is finally back. It is a very good decision.
Match 4 – WWE Intercontinental Championship – Gunther defeated Sheamus to retain
This match was booked for 11 minutes and indeed it was the best match of the night. It was really a very entertaining match but it is not as good as there previous encounter, it was nowhere near that match. At the end, Gunther hit Sheamus Shillelagh which the referee failed to notice. Gunther then pinned Sheamus to retain. Gunther and Imperium celebrated as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall it was not a bad episode. The appearance from Triple H must have been the best part of the night. The Intercontinental Championship match was good but there were more expectations from it. The first segment featuring Roman Reigns and Logan Paul was good too. The return of the LA Knight was also fun to see. Apart from that there was nothing special. We give this week’s SmackDown 2 out of 5.
