This week’s Smackdown started as Paul Heyman was seen standing outside of the locker room of Roman Reigns. Jimmy Uso wanted to go inside the room as Heyman stopped him and asked not to go inside. He also said that the champion would talk to him soon on the same night.
WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns came out to the arena along with Paul Heyman. He said that he had so much going on in his mind about his family when Edge attacked him two weeks ago he was not thinking about Edge at that time.

Jimmy Uso came out to the arena. He accused Roman for not helping him out last night. He said Roman must have been on a vacation. Roman said he had no time for vacations and Jimmy should not have made decisions himself.
Jey Uso came out next. He said no matter what would happen he always had their back. He told Jimmy that they had an unfinished task of winning their seventh tag team championship. Roman said this was what he wanted all along. And they all hugged each other.
Match 1 – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – King Nakamura defeated Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin came out to the ring without his entrance theme. They are putting real effort to make the new gimmick of Corbin work. The match was booked for around eight minutes and the match was pretty fun. Big E was outside of the ring too to enjoy with Pat McAfee. Nakamura pinned Corbin with the Kinshasa.
Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox made their main roster debut next. They should have waited till next week for this since there would be crowd next week.
Match 3 – Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox defeated Natalya and Tamina
This was good match and really good debut for Shotzi and Nox. This means there would be more opportunities for NXT women in the NXT. Shotzi Blackheart pinned Natalya with the Back Senton.
Sonya Deville came out to the ring and announced that Bianca Belair would not defend her title against Bayley since Bayley was injured. She replaced Bayley with Carmella as the no. 1 contender for next week. Liv Morgan came out and condemned Sonya for making this decision. Sonya said that she would also replace Carmella in the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Match 4 – Money in the Bank qualifying match – Seth Rollins defeated Cesaro
The match was booked for around 10 minutes and it was a very good match. Cesaro got busted open during the match while he hit his head on the exposed turnbuckle. It did not look like fake blood as there was no time to put any fake Blood on his head before he started to bleed. Seth Rollins pinned Cesaro with the Curb Stomp.
Edge came out to the arena and entered the ring. He said that at Money in the Bank he would take the Universal Championship at Money in the Bank and if anyone would come into his way he would be in big trouble. He called out Roman Reigns after that.
WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns came out to the arena all alone. As they stared at each other the Usos came out. Roman was not happy to see them coming since he wanted to take care of the situation all alone. He asked Usos not to follow him and entered the ring to stand face to face with Edge.
They started fighting each other. As Usos were attempting to get inside the ring, Rey and Dominik came out and attacked the Usos. Edge, Rey and Dominik beat down the Usos as Roman Reigns escaped. Edge, Rey and Dominik stood tall as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Smackdown has improved quite a bit in the recent weeks. It was another interesting and exciting episode of the Friday night show. The debut of Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox was really good. The matches were fun to watch too. Overall, it was a good week. We give it 3 stars out of 5.
