Next on Smackdown, WWE Hall of Famer Edge made his entrance to the ring. We go to backstage again where Austin Theory said that he was concerned he would not have to defend his United States Championship anymore. Rey Mysterio confronted him and said that he would definitely defend his title tonight.
We go back to the ring where WWE Hall of Famer Edge was standing. His speech somehow resembled to a Hall of Fame speech where he thanked Sheamus who helped him the most to get back into the ring. These were some untold stories which Edge shared here on SmackDown and it was so good to see such stories.

Edge revealed all the stories how Sheamus helped him with not only getting back into the ring but gaining confidence as well. As I have said above, it sounded more like a Hall of Fame speech than a normal wrestling promo. But this was so fun and extremely satisfying to hear such things. Definitely people will respect Sheamus even more after this amazing speech from Edge.
Edge than introduced Sheamus along with The Brawling Brutes. They had an excellent time together and both of them talked about their past memories about each other. Sheamus revealed that not only him who helped Edge helped him too. Ultimately the duo accepted to fight each other next week in Toronto. This will go down as one of the best promo segments in SmackDown history.

Match 3 – LA Knight defeated Top Dolla
The third match of the night was only booked for two minutes and it was a pretty easy win for the Megastar. The match was booked for only two minutes. B-Fab and Ashante Adonis tried to create distractions for Knight. But it took only two minutes for Knight to earn a pinfall victory over Top Dolla. Knight pinned him with the BFT.
After the match, Knight cut a short promo which the fans really loved. He mentioned The Miz in this promo whom he confronted last Monday on RAW. It looks like the duo is heading towards a potential feud and they might face each other at Payback. But we are still not sure when he is winning some titles.
We get to see two backstage footages next. In the first one, we get to see Santos Escobar was trying to get ready for his big match for the United States Championship. He was still not 100% and struggling badly to stand up properly. Adam Pearce meet him and asked if he was ready to go. Escobar did not want to get back from the fight.
