This week SmackDown started as the former 16 times WWE world champion John Cena came out to the arena. Cena talked about his match at SummerSlam against WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns and said that Reigns would beat the hell out of him at SummerSlam but ultimately he would lose the title to Cena.
WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns came out along with Paul Heyman. Cena said that WWE is pushing Roman Reigns to the ultimate heights even after he failed so many times. This was the reason he came back to show him his limits.

Roman said why Cena could not say anything new, every single week it was the same thing. He should come up with something new. Cena said he had nothing to prove to him but at Summerslam he would win his 17th world title. He said he was here to help him.
Roman said he did not need his help. Cena might be one of the best but he was not good enough to stand inside the ring with him. He said 20 years of mi**ionary might be good for him but not good enough for Nikki Bella. He also said he would destroy him at Summerslam.
Then came the biggest shocker. Cena said Roman ran Dean Ambrose out of WWE. The mention of Dean Ambrose was the biggest shocker. He said Roman had been protected so much amlnd still it was not working. But at Summerslam he would end his saga.
Match 1 – Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Apollo Crews to become new Intercontinental Champion
Another big shocker of the night. Summer it was a little unpredictable that the title reign of Crews would end like this. About the match, it was very good and quite enjoyable. Nakamura defeated Crews with the Kinshasa. Nakamura really deserved it.
Match 2 – The Street Profits defeated The Alpha Academy
This match was average, but a good progress of the storyline. Street Profits seriously needed this victory. Angelo Dawkins pinned Chad Gable to earn the victory for his side.
Seth Rollins came out to the arena. He said Edge spread lies on his name. He said Edge just could not stand that Seth’s career is a little better than his. He showed a footage where he tried to prove he is better than Edge. He said that at SummerSlam he would end the myth about Edge.
Match 3 – The Mysterios defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
This was a good match and a very good progress of the Mysterious and the Usos storyline. The Usos tried to distract Mysterios but it did not work. Dominik Mysterio pinned Robert Roode with a roll up.
Baron Corbin came out. He talked about his poverty once again and said how much he needed help. He asked every fan to donate at least 1,000 dollars each.
Kevin Owens came out. He said that he needed to stop now and stop embarrassing himself. He said he tried to help him a number of weeks ago because he thought he had learn from his mistakes. But he did not change. He was only trying to get sympathy.
Corbin fade he was not going to leave the ring unless Owens gave him at least 1000 dollar. Owens said that he would give him 1000 dollars but only if he could beat him in a match. But if he would lose he needed to stop begging. Corbin tried to embarrass Owens as Owens hit him with a Stunner.
Match 4 – Kevin Owens defeated Baron Corbin
The match was good. The storyline is getting really interesting day by day. It was not a very difficult win for Owens. After the match, Corbin was walking backstage, he was looking really sad. Suddenly he saw Big E, he took his Money in the Bank contract away and escaped.
The main event segment of the night was the official contract signing between Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks for the WWE SmackDown women’s Championship at SummerSlam. Sonya Deville invited both women to the ring one by one.
First, they exchanged from word. Then Sasha said that he needed some witnesses before signing the contract and she brought Carmella and Zelina Vega. As soon as Bianca signed the contract she tried to fight all three women at the same time. But she could not as Sasha and her friends beat her down. Sasha Banks celebrated with the Championship as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall, the show was very good. We got a new champion crowned, we got good progress of all the storylines. We got some big shockers as well, the mention of Dean Ambrose was really a shocking thing. We give it 3.5 stars out of 5.
