Backstage on Smackdown, Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle were seen talking to each other, discussing about Riddle’s match that was going to take place later tonight. Kevin Owens joined the discussion and tried to motivate Riddle. Riddle said that he was waiting for this moment for quite a long time.
The Judgment Day came out to the arena next on SmackDown. Damian Priest reminded everyone that Bad Bunny would be the host of Backlash. He also reminded everyone of his friendship with Bad Bunny. But if he tried to hurt his friends he would have to face consequences.

He showed footage from Monday Night Raw 2 weeks ago where Priest pulled Bunny from the crowd and beat him down. Before he could continue saying anything, Zelina Vega arrived and distracted The Judgment Day. The rest of the LWO members attacked Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio from behind.
Match 2 – Damian Priest defeated Santos Escobar
This match was booked for nearly 10 minutes and it was a very entertaining match. There were a lot of outside chaos throughout the match and it was mostly in favour of the LWO. But ultimately, Damian Priest picked up the victory after he hit a South of Heaven Chokeslam on Escobar to pin him.
After the match, Priest attempted to beat down Escobar more as he attacked him outside of the ring. The leader of the LWO Rey Mysterio came out and saved his partners. He did not hesitate to attack his son Dominik Mysterio of this time. As he was about to hit the 619, Priest pulled him out of the ring and escaped.
Backstage the Bloodline was seen along with Solo Sikoa getting ready for his big match later tonight and Paul Heyman was trying to motivate him by naming the biggest names of their family. Solo Sikoa told Heyman that he got it and he wanted him to say it to the Tribal Chief.
Footage from this week’s WWE RAW was shown where Lita was attacked backstage and Trish Stratus replaced her in the Tag Team Championship match. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez defeated the team of Trish Stratus and Becky Lynch. After the match, Trish betrayed Becky and beat her down.
The new Women’s Tag Team champions Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan came out to celebrate their title win. There were even fireworks for the celebration. They started cutting promo on their recent success and they Express their happiness for winning the Women’s Tag Team championships.
Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green interfered. Sonya table to the question How could they be the Tag Team champions when they did not get to beat any of the Tag Team champions. Since Trish was not originally the Tag Team Champion, they should not have been given the Tag Team golds.
Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green entered the ring next and claimed for a Tag Team Championship opportunity and also said that they deserve the title short more than Rodriguez and Morgan. Morgan accepted to give them a Tag Team title opportunity and attacked them straight. Green and Deville left the ring and escaped the fight.
Match 3 – Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Madcap Moss
Next up on Smackdown was the grand return of Shinsuke Nakamura and for the first time in WWE, he appeared in his NJPW attire. He received excellent reaction from the crowd and everyone sang his song during his entrance which reminded us of his NXT days. It was a really feel good moment.
About the match, it was booked for only one and a half a minutes and it was a pretty easy victory for Nakamura. He pinned Moss with his finisher Kinshasa. After the match, Nakamura attacked Moss again and locked him in an Armbar. Emma pulled him to save him.
