Backstage on Smackdown, Ricochet and Braun Strowman were seen going somewhere, they were discussing something which was not clear. Suddenly, The Viking Raiders attacked them from behind and beat them down really badly. It was a massive beat down. At least they are trying to do some non title tag team feuds.

Next up was the main event of the night, Matt Riddle scheduled to take on the Bloodline enforcer Solo Sikoa. Paul Heyman made an announcement that after 2 weeks on Friday Night Smackdown, The Usos good finally be challenging for the Tag Team Championships. And they would definitely win the titles because the Tribal Chief was losing patience on them. Heyman was looking at the Usos while saying the “losing patience” thing which the Usos did not notice.

Match 4 – Solo Sikoa defeated Matt Riddle

The main event of the night was booked for some seven minutes and it was an average match. The match was mostly built to promote Solo Sikoa even more who earned a clean victory over Riddle tonight. But these two individuals are definitely capable of delivery in better matches then what they did today.

Neither of the two dominated the match. But at the end of the match when Riddle was finally getting the control of it, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn started fighting The Usos. Riddle also got involved into the fight and when he returned to the actual match, he did not have enough time to capitalise as Sikoa pinned him with the Samoan Spike.

After the match, Solo Sikoa started beating down Riddle even more. He drag him outside of the ring and then hit an Uranage on Riddle on top of the announce table. Sikoa then buried Riddle under the announce table. The officials, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn rescued Riddle as this week’s SmackDown went off air.

Overall it was a pretty much average week of Friday Night Smackdown with no World Championship segment, no proper women’s bookings, and still half of the roster remained missing. We seriously do not understand when WWE is failing to book their huge roster in every show, why don’t they just make some factions and add the wrestlers into them.

Tonight’s show mostly focused on the Bloodline storyline. Rest of the night was pretty weak. The intercontinental championship segment could have been better. No booking for The Brawling Brutes, neither Drew McIntyre. And what happened to the rest of the women in the SmackDown women’s division?

It does not look like that Roman Reigns would make any appearance soon. There is not even any hint of a possible upcoming World Championship feud. Quite clearly, they have no other plans apart from Cody Rhodes right now. They are not even any mood of building more main eventers.

It is good to see that Shinsuke Nakamura is finally back in WWE. But we are not sure if they have any big plans for the Japanese professional wrestler. Maybe a mid card Championship run at maximum. It would still be interesting to see what they are planning after the draft. We give this week’s Smackdown 1.5 out of 5.
