This week’s SmackDown was a good show with some negative sides. The blue brand of WWE is definitely doing better than Monday Night RAW. They are producing better feuds and storylines. Most importantly, the women’s division on the blue brand is 1000 times better managed than RAW, which showed once again today.

Last night on SmackDown, they featured the women’s Championship storyline on both the opening segment and on the main event. Can you imagine such a thing happening on Monday Night RAW at this moment? Being the Women’s World Champion, Rhea Ripley had been the side king of Dominik Mysterio at best. I am saying this again, they should immediately fire the RAW creative team.

WWE SmackDown 14.07.2023 – The Good, The Bad, And The Unforgettable: Ups & Downs From The Show

About the women’s segment from last night, it was fantastic. Of course it was pretty much predictable but watching it was really fun. We expected this feud to remain three way, but the introduction of Damage CTRL is a brilliant Idea and it just made things more exciting. Surely we are going to see a triple threat match at SummerSlam, as it was rumoured.

They gave TV time to LA Knight which I must give them credit for. They finally understood from last week that they must give their most over guy some TV time. He is originally scheduled to compete next week but listening to him live with the reaction from the audience always makes it special. His small appearance was really fun.

Asuka Retained WWE Title By The End Of The Night

Shotzi is getting a completely new angle and she is starting a feud with Damage CTRL. This is an excellent decision to use her head shave in a storyline. Once again I doubt if RAW would have been able to come out with something like this. There were a lot of women’s segments tonight and all of them were pretty well managed.

AJ Styles still continues his feud with Karrion Kross. Seriously? Is there anyone in the WWE Universe who is excited about this feud? It took less than 2 minutes for Styles to beat Kross last week, and still, they are not done? I must say this is a terrible decision to continue this feud. They definitely should have gone for something else.

Roman Reigns not appearing must have been the worst thing about the night. Why does he have to take time off so frequently? It pretty much damaged the continuation of the epic Bloodline feud. They tried to cover it up with a segment feature in Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman, but it was seriously not enough. There are rumours that Roman Reigns may take a longer time off after SummerSlam. I Wonder What would happen to SmackDown after that.
