This week’s SmackDown started as footage from last week was shown where Sami Zayn was complaining about the attack of Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns from the previous week. Brock Lesnar came out and when he was about to take him to hunting and fishing, Paul Heyman provoked him and he beat down Sami Zayn.
Match 1 – Sasha Banks and Toni Storm defeated Charlotte Flair and Shotzi

WWE Smackdown 17.12.2021 Results & Ratings
It was arguably the best match of the night. It was booked for over twelve minutes and was really fun to watch. Toni Storm got a huge break in this match as she pinned Charlotte Flair with a rollup to earn the victory for her side.
Match 2 – The Viking Raiders defeated Shanky and Jinder Mahal
This match was booked for five minutes and it was not a bad match. Thr babyface side not only won the match but dominated as well. Ivar pinned Shanky to earn the victory for his side.
Next up was Happy Talk with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss. They brought Drew McIntyre’s Sword Angela which was stuck in Adam Pearce’s desk from last week. They made some fun of Drew first then tried to take out the sword but they could not.
Drew McIntyre came out. As he was about to enter the ring, Moss tried to attack him but Drew fought back. He took out both Moss and Corbin out of the ring and took the sword out.
Match 3 – Ridge Holland defeated Cesaro

It was not even a competitive match. Cesaro was already injured before the match and Holland attacked him before the start of the match because of which he could get little to no offence. Holland defeated him easily. Holland pinned him with Sit Out Powerslam.
Naomi came out to the arena. She said her number one priority on Christmas wishlist was facing Sonya Deville one on one. So she challenged Sonya in a match. Sonya came out and said that she would not be fighting her tonight but she had a different opponent for her.
Match 4 – Naomi defeated Shayna Baszler
It was not a very difficult victory for Naomi but unfortunately Baszler had to job this week as well. Even though it was a rollup victory. The match was also very short. Baszler was in an offensive state as she got pinned with a rollup.
Match 5 – The New Day defeated The Usos in a non-title match
We seriously do not understand why this match got booked on SmackDown since it was already scheduled for Day 1. And with a defeat of the champions, it was not a very good look for them. They have been losing almost every week. Kofi Kingston pinned Jimmy with the Trouble in Paradise finishing maneuver.

The Bloodline came out to the arena. WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns said that he did not like it when his cousins lose. He told the Usos to fight back with double power, and said they were is blood so he could accept anything from them.
He then turned to Paul Heyman and asked if he could trust him. He asked if he was a special council or an advocate. He also asked him why he was protecting Brock Lesnar from him. Heyman said you was not protecting Brock Lesnar from him but he was protecting him from Brock Lesnar.
Roman Reigns thanked Heyman for his services so far and fired him. He then nailed Heyman with a Superman Punch. Then he brought a chair inside. As he was about to hit Heyman with the chair Brock Lesnar came out.
Lesnar first attacked the Usos and beat them down. He then entered the ring and Reigns attacked him with a Steel Chair but Lesnar nailed with an F5. He hit two back to back F5s. Brock Lesnar stood tall over Roman Reigns as this week’s Smackdown went off air.
Overall, the week was average. The first match was good, the rest of the show was weak, and then came the last part of the show. It was amazing. The last segment of tonight has to be for the best segments of the entire year. Paul Heyman and Bloodline splitting up was a big deal definitely. We give this week 3 out of 5.
