Match 5 – Solo Sikoa defeated Matt Riddle in a No DQ Match

The main event of tonight’s Smackdown was undoubtedly the best match of the night. The match was booked for 11 minutes and no doubt it was a pay per view standard match. From the very first minute to the very end it was extremely entertaining and was really difficult to take eyes off of it.

It was a rightful No DQ match where multiple weapons were involved with some extreme moments too. There were so many chairs and chair shots. Honestly, this match saved tonight’s Smackdown as it was turning out to be one of the worst episodes of Smackdown in the recent days.

Riddle had a big disadvantage from the very first minute of the match no one to provide support to him when The Usos were already there to help out their younger brother. Since this was a No DQ match, Riddle seriously needed some backup. But the Tag Team Champions was not present on tonight’s show.

About the match, we have already said that it was pretty entertaining and the best match of the night. At the end of the match, Riddle managed to bury Solo under the Announce Table, which he said he would do. The Usos instantly attacked him after this incident but Riddle managed to get rid of them.

Solo then shocked everyone by pushing the whole Announce Table off of him. He then entered the ring and here was the final part of the match. Solo did not need anymore help from anyone to pin Riddle with Samoan Spike. After the match, The Usos hit a 1D on Riddle through a table. The Bloodline stood tall on the lifeless body of Matt Riddle as this week’s SmackDown went off air.

Overall it was an extremely average week of Smackdown with more than half of the roster remained missing from the show. Apart from the last match, there was almost nothing to see in tonight’s SmackDown. The main event of the show somehow saved the whole night. The rest of the show was really weak.

There were a total of two title bouts tonight but none of them served any purpose at all. The Intercontinental championship match was average and it was nothing but a routine victory for the Ring General Gunther. And let us not talk about the Women’s Tag Team Championship match. Clearly Morgan and Rodriguez are not working as a tag team.

About the rest of the show, there were two more matches and both of them were Tag Team matches. The Judgment Day picked up a victory over the LWO but we do not understand why does this match had to involve Rey Mysterio. Since he is already involved in a strong feud, he did not have to lose every single week.

And about the other tag team match, it was not a bad match but The Viking Raiders is slowly turning out to be a jobber tag team. We seriously hope days split the Tag Team championships soon so that all these tag teams get some values at least. The Draft would be the best night to do it.

Speaking of the Tag Team championships, Tag Team Champions were missing from the show themselves. And not the Tag Team Champions only, most wrestlers of the roster remained missing tonight. We ongoing feuds like Nakamura – Kross had to be promoted through promo packages. And where are the The Brawling Brutes? No mention of them either.

There is no promotion for any upcoming World Championship match either. It does not look like Roman Reigns is coming back anytime sooner. He might come back for Night of Champions to celebrate his 1000 day reign, and he will definitely come back to celebrate it. And maybe after retaining the title he goes to hibernation for two or three more months.

We have no idea who is currently managing the shows, it is Triple H or Vince McMahon, the shows are getting boring once again. You might get to hear biased reviews on various YouTube channels, but the fact is WWE had been extremely boring since WrestleMania 39. We hope they make some big changes after the Draft. We give this week’s SmackDown 1.5 out of 5. We would have given 1, but the extra .5 ratings is for the two title bouts and the main event match.
