This week’s SmackDown started as The Brawling Brutes made their entrance to the arena. We wonder why WWE is not giving any separate theme to the stables instead of using their leader’s theme as the stable theme. It would be good if this changes.

Match 1 – Solo Sikoa defeated Sheamus

WWE SmackDown 21.10.2022 Results & Ratings

This match was booked for around 10 minutes and it was an excellent match to start things off for the night. This was a fast paced match that anyone would enjoy it throughout. At the end the Bloodline and Brawling Brutes got involved where Bloodline got the better of their opponents. Sami created the final destraction for Sheamus and Solo capitalised with a Spinning Solo for the win.

Bray Wyatt appeared on a pre taped footage where he reminded us of his previous promos where you would not understand most of the things he said. It was similar to that. The gist of the promo was, he is back with the best form he ever had and he would do terrible things to everyone on his way.

Match 2 – Liv Morgan vs. Sonya Deville went to a double count out

The match was booked for around 6 and a half minutes and it was booked to promote Morgan as a Extreme wrestler further. Morgan intentionally counted themselves out and beat Deville really bad. She hit a Superplex on Deville through steel chairs.

Next up is the much awaited face to face show off between Braun Strowman and Omos. Strowman entered the arena first and called out Omos. MVP came out and started talking to Strowman who ultimately challenged Omos in a match at Crown Jewel. MVP accepted and called out Omos. Omos came out to the arena and entered the ring. They stood face to face and then Omos pushed Strowman off of the ring. Omos is way taller than Strowman.

Match 3 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship – The Damage CTRL defeated Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez

This championship match was booked for seven minutes and it was not a bad match. Most part of the match was dominated by the babyface side but heels came out stronger at the end as Iyo Sky pinned Shotzi with the Moonsault.

Backstage WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Ronda Rousey cut a heel promo where she said that she does not work to entertain the WWE Universe but for herself only. And next week she would be issuing an Open challenge.

Match 4 – Rey Mysterio defeated Ludwig Kaiser

This match was booked for 8 and a half minutes and it was a good, competitive match. Even though it was quite predictable. Rey pinned Ludwig with a 619 and a Frog Splash. We expected rest of the Imperium members would attack Rey after the match, but that did not happen.

Logan Paul came out to the arena and this time he got mixed reactions from the fans. WWE promoted the upcoming World title match really well and that is only through video packages. Logan talk about his possibilities of winning the WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel and he claimed that he is going to set the biggest upset in WWE history.

Jey Uso attacked Logan Paul from behind and started beating him down. Sami Zayn came out and requested Jey not to beat Paul since Roman Reigns did not want it. Meanwhile Paul got back and attacked Jey and beat him down. Sami did not go out to help Jey, instead he remained standing on the Apron. Logan Paul celebrated on the ramp as this week’s SmackDown went off air.

Overall it was a purely average week of Smackdown where they killed most of the times with promo packages and pre recorded footages. Matches were mostly average, nothing to be too excited about. Logan Paul’s main event promo was weak. It featured on the main event just because he is challenging for the World title. The only interesting part of this week was the new angle of Liv Morgan. We give this week’s SmackDown 1.5 out of 5.
