This week’s SmackDown started as footage from last week was shown where Brock Lesnar tried to assault Roman Reigns and his teammates. The show started as Brock Lesnar was seen standing outside the locker room of Roman Reigns. He forcefully entered the empty room and started waiting for Roman.
Match 1 – Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Jimmy Uso
WWE Smackdown 25.03.22 Results & Ratings
This was not a bad match to kick things off for the night. The whole match was booked for seven minutes and there were full of outside interference. Nakamura pinned Jimmy Uso with the Kinshasa.
Match 2 – King Xavier Woods defeated Ridge Holland
Xavier Woods made his on screen return in this match. Still there is no sign of any other team being added onto the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 38. About this match it was even shorter than 1 minute, Woods pinned Holland with a Small Package Hold.
Next up was a short promo segment featuring Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair. Ronda came out to the arena and called out Charlotte who appeared on the big screen and cut a short promo. There were some exchanges of words. It was not a very important segment.
Match 3 – Humberto defeated Ricochet by count out
It was the best match of the night. But there is nothing special about it. Now it is quite clear that there will be no Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania, instead, WWE is focusing on burying the Championship. This was the contender’s match and contenders are showing the current state of the prestigious title.
Match 4 – Sasha Banks defeated Queen Zelina, Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley in a fatal 4 way match
This match was booked to promote the fatal 4 way Women’s Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania 38 and it was not a bad match. It was booked for around 6 minutes. Sasha Banks picked up the victory over Queen Zelina with the Banks Statement submission maneuver.
WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns came out to the arena. He started the promo in his usual style. He then asked Paul Heyman if Brock Lesnar is still inside his locker room who was seen entering the locker room of Roman Reigns at the start of the show.
The locker room was shown on the big screen which was completely destroyed. But there was no Brock Lesnar. Another footage was shown Brock Lesnar was shown standing in front of the car of Roman Reigns. Brock Lesnar attacked and destroyed the car of Roman Reigns and headed towards the arena.
Lesnar entered the arena through the crowd. Security guards tried to stop him but completely destroyed the security guards. Meanwhile Roman Reigns escaped the arena. Lesnar continued the Carnage as he kept on beating down the security guards with the steel chair.
At the end of the show, Roman Reigns said on the big screen that at WrestleMania, Brock Lesnar would as the Undisputed world champion. Brock Lesnar stood tall on top of the announce table Roman Reigns stood on the backstage as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall, it was one of the worst episodes of Smackdown in the recent days. About the event it was all about pre recorded promos. There was absolutely nothing to get hyped about except the last segment of the night that is the only focus of WWE right now. It is so unfortunate that there will be no Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania 38. We feel very bad for the people who bought tickets for this week’s Smackdown. We give it 0.5 stars out of of 5.
