This upcoming Friday’s Christmas Day edition of SmackDown on FOX was taped this week. The stacked lineup for the show stood as follows,
* Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka will defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against opponents to be announced
* WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn defends against Big E in a Lumberjack Match
* WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defends against Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage match
The main event of SmackDown witnessed Big E defeating Sami Zayn in a lumberjack match to win the Intercontinental Championship. This is the second time that E is holding the IC Title. WWE Smackdown 25/12/20 Results – Steel Cage Match; New Champion Crowned
* WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns retained his title over Kevin Owens in a Steel Cage match. Jey Uso again interfered and handcuffed Owens’ hand with the cage which allowed Reigns to walk out for the win. Once again, interferences cost Owens his title opportunity.
* WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka retained in a Triple Threat Elimination Match over Bianca Belair and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks, and Carmella and Bayley. Flair gained the pinfall win over Belair as she hit the Natural Selection on her.

Sasha Banks suffered a botch before the match while making the entrance. She was doing her usual entry with her theme song. While swinging her waist like she always does with the belt around her waist, the belt suddenly came off. Since the camera was focused on her, it was fully visible to all of the fans. Bayley was laughing at what went down but Banks managed to present the botch in a casual way.
* Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso in a singles match with the running knee strike. This was said to be the longest match of the night that went around 20 minutes.
* On the main event, Big E defeated Sami Zayn to win the WWE Intercontinental Title in a Lumberjack main event. It was an extremely physical match where Big E pinned the former champion with the Big Ending. He celebrated with the Lumberjacks to end the show.
