This week’s SmackDown started as some of the biggest attractions from Money in the Bank were advertised along with the attractions from tonight’s show including the Women’s Championship match and Logan Paul being featured as the special guest of the Grayson Waller Show.
Match 1 – WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn defeated Pretty Deadly

We keep things off with a big championship match. It was booked for nearly eight minutes and it was a pretty fun match. The British crowd was extremely lively throughout the match. Sami Zayn at the end got the victory after a Helluva Kick. It was an excellent way to kick things off for the night.
But there is a big concern at the end of the match. Kevin Owens’ leg looked hurt at the end. This is a big matter of concern. He is at the peak of his career, we seriously hope he does not get injured at this stage of his career. We hope whatever it is, it is better not to be anything serious.
Pretty Deadly Faced Their First Defeat On The Main Roster
Backstage Adam Pearce was being interviewed and he got interrupted by The Brawling Brutes. They demanded Solo Sikoa but Pearce said that Solo had other businesses to take care of so he announced a match between Ridge Holland and Austin Theory. Holland clarified if he would get a title shot against Theory if he beats him, Pearce agreed.
Match 2 – Austin Theory defeated Ridge Holland
This was the contender’s match for Holland which was made official by Pearce earlier tonight. The match was pretty short; it was booked for only three minutes. As Holland was getting the control of the match, Theory went for his throat which was already hurt.
A quick reminder that Holland got a Samoan Spike last week from Solo Sikoa. As soon as Holland started to feel the pain once again on his throat, Theory pinned with only a Drop Kick. After the match, Theory attacked Holland once again, but Sheamus came out and saved this partner. We might get to see a WWE United States title match soon between these two.
Next up they showed a promo package for the upcoming Bloodline civil war. You are not going to believe it but the package was nearly six minutes long. Six minutes, you read it right. Was it really necessary? Everybody knows about this storyline, why do they have to remind about it again and again, and waste so much time with it?
