This week’s SmackDown started as Sami Zayn came out to the arena for the first match of the night followed by his Tag Team partner Solo Sikoa. They had a backstage fight with Madcap Moss and Ricochet last week, and a tag team match between the two teams was announced for this week.
Match 1 – Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa defeated Madcap Moss and Ricochet

WWE SmackDown 30.09.2022 Results & Ratings
It was a really good match to start the night. This match was mostly booked to show the chemistry between Sikoa and Sami. There will definitely be and excellent storyline between these two athletes. But unfortunately Moss and Ricochet had to job, especially, Moss. Everyone are being forced to job in front of Bloodline. Sikoa pinned Moss with a Swinging Solo.
Two back to back segments are next. The first one was a confrontation between Sami Zayn and Jey Uso what the bad blood between the duo even increased as Sami did not care about him anymore since he got approval of Roman Reigns himself. The next segment was a pre taped segment where Karrion Kross warned Drew McIntyre for Extreme Rules.
Match 2 – Drew McIntyre defeated Austin Theory by DQ
The match ended in only 2 minutes when the Alpha Academy interfered and all three wrestlers started beating down Drew. Johnny Gargano first game out for the save but as he was losing to the numbers game, Kevin Owens came out and took out Theory and Alpha Academy.
Match 3 – The Hit Row defeated Los Lotharios

This was the shortest match of the night as it was booked for less than 2 minutes. It was an easy win for the Hit Row. Ashante Adonis pinned Humberto after Duel Team finisher of Heavy Hitter. There is nothing much to talk about this match.
Match 4 – Ronda Rousey defeated Natalya by submission
This was also a short match, only booked for around 3 and a half minutes. This was the Women’s championship match from Money in the Bank, and in this occasion they made Natalya job where at Money in the Bank it was the pretty competitive match. Really weak booking we must say.
After the match Liv Morgan appeared with a baseball bat. She tried to attack Ronda with the bat, Ronda dodged it and the duo started fighting. Ronda was portrayed as the stronger of the duo. Security guards had to come out to stop them.
Imperium came out to the arena. An Intercontinental championship match had been book for next week on Friday Night Smackdown where the Challenger would be Sheamus. This was a brutal segment where Imperium beat down Sheamus who was alone tonight really bad.
Match 5 – Bayley defeated Shotzi

It was a short 3 minute long match it was not a very difficult victory for Bayley. Shotzi brought her tank back which was the best part of this match. Bayley pinned Shotzi with the Rose Plant. Aftet the match, Bayley was planning to beat Shotzi more but Bianca Belair came out and saved her.
Backstage Max Dupri fought with the Maximum Male Models for not being enough careful about their upcoming Tag Team Championship match against the Usos. Dupri decided to take part from the Maximum Male Models.
Match 6 – Kevin Owens, Johnny Gargano and Drew McIntyre defeated Austin Theory and The Alpha Academy
It was a good main event but there is nothing too special about the match. The babyface side dominated and won the match. The match was 7 minutes long. Drew McIntyre pinned Austin Theory with a Claymore to earn the victory for his side. Drew McIntyre celebrated inside the ring as this week’s Smackdown went off air.
Overall it was not a bad week of Smackdown but after quite a long time we did not get to see any pay per view standard match in an episode of Smackdown. No main event segment has once again been a huge disappointment, there is no WWE Tag Team Championship feud either. Gunther vs. Sheamus was the best segment of the night. There were too many backstage segments and pretect segments as well which is the big negative side. We give this week’s SmackDown 1.5/5
