Bayley used to be one of the most organically cheered athletes in the WWE locker room following her stint on NXT. Her top run continued even after coming to the main roster as she had run with Raw/Smackdown Women’s Title and the Women’s tag team titles.
With the change of characters and the title reigns, Bayley managed to establish herself as one of the mainstays of the WWE Women’s Division. She is the longest-reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion in history and it’s certain that we feel her absence on TV since she’s on the shelf for a very long time. The good news is that she’s expected to make her WWE return soon.
WWE Summerslam 2022: Three Matches Officially Set For WWE PLE
According to the reports by Fightful Select, Bayley is preparing for a return to the squared circle. While she wasn’t present in Las Vegas for Money In The Bank, there was a point that her return was expected at the latest bygone premium live event. The timespan of her return wasn’t cited by the source,
“The former multi- time women’s champion has been preparing for an in-ring return, WWE sources have confirmed to Fightful. Bayley alluded to this on her social media this week, but WWE sources did confirm with Fightful that she’s been in the ring working on a return to action. As to how she’s been preparing, or a timetable, we’re not sure.”

Bayley approaching closer for a WWE in-ring return
Prior to this, Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Bayley is expected to make her return to the company ‘somewhat soon’ after missing in-ring competition for over a year. The former hugger-gimmick holder previously teased to make her return for the Money in the Bank event but that wasn’t the case.
With rumors swirling around this big return that could shake things in the women’s division, WWE might try to closely guard the secret until it happens on TV. This would be much like how Cody Rhodes found his way back on WWE TV during this past WrestleMania 38 in April.
Bayley has been out of action for nearly a year due to a torn ACL that she suffered back in July 2021 while training at the WWE Performance Center for her scheduled Money in the Bank match against Bianca Belair. Her last televised match took place on Smackdown where she teamed with Seth Rollins to defeat Bianca Belair and Cesaro.
