Brock Lesnar has officially been added to WWE’s next big event, the Royal Rumble 2022 edition which will go down on January 29th. The WWE Title match was confirmed on RAW this week with Bobby Lashley being the challenger. WWE Universe is obviously more than happy to get this dream match at the Rumble. But the champion isn’t really interested in The All-Mighty as he’s still focused on his bitter rival in Roman Reigns.
During the closing moments of Raw, this week, Brock Lesnar was asked to provide a comment about Bobby Lashley earning a WWE Title shot at the Royal Rumble. The Beast Incarnate didn’t seem to react to getting a new challenger. Instead of talking about the All-Mighty, he spoke his mind and hereby spoke about meeting Reigns, this coming Friday night on Smackdown,
“You tell Roman Reigns I’ll see him this Friday on SmackDown.”
Ringside News already reported that Brock Lesnar winning the WWE Championship at Day 1 will not change WWE’s WrestleMania plans where The Beast is set to have an encounter with the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event match. The source also noted that the title win of Lesnar will only “enhance” things.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns to continue on Smackdown
Going by the storyline, WWE is also moving along in that way. With Roman Reigns dealing with COVID-19, there’s no confirmed update on whether he will be on Smackdown. But since Seth Rollins got over from COVID-19 within a few days and performed at Day 1, The Tribal Chief could be back in the least amount of time.
So, a mega confrontation between these two top stars could be expected. WWE never directly confirmed Reigns’ appearance, this Friday but they’re airing a promo for the first episode of Smackdown that will bring the fallouts from Day 1.
In the main event of the Day 1 pay-per-view, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship. This match was originally scheduled to be a Fatal 4 Way match between Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley.
But then Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 that canceled his Universal Title defense against Brock Lesnar who was then added to this WWE Championship match, thus making it a Fatal 5 Way affair.
