A new season usually kicks off after WWE Smackdown following a Wrestlemania gets over and same will be the case now that the 39th edition is over. Things are expected to go through a major change, this time around as a reported WWE Draft is also scheduled to go down in May following the Show of Shows.
Plus, after Wrestlemania, new faces show up on WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown alongside call-ups from NXT. Also, sometimes former superstars find their way back to the company. With Triple H in charge of WWE’s creative things, things on both rosters will be shaken up. FOX apparently has some special requests when it comes down to choosing the roster from their side.
Ronda Rousey Wasn’t Fully Medically Ready To Compete In WWE Wrestlemania 39 Match
According to The Wrestling Blog, FOX doesn’t want the following six names on WWE SmackDown after WrestleMania 39 – Ronda Rousey, Karrion Kross & his valet Scarlett, three members of Hit Row (Top Dolla, Ashante Adonis, and B-Fab). With the 2023 WWE Draft being rumored to take place in May, it’s possible that WWE grants FOX officials’ wishes and sends these stars to Raw.

FOX specially requested to have Ronda Rousey on WWE Smackdown
It’s interesting to note that Ronda Rousey is on this list while FOX specifically requested to have her on WWE Smackdown following her return to the WWE after a three-year-long hiatus. To meet this demand, WWE assigned her to the blue brand following her return in early 2022.
Ronda Rousey made her return to WWE during the Royal Rumble last year and eventually went on to become a 2-time WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion. However, the lack of opponents made her look weak despite WWE’s efforts.
Plus, with her poor in-ring performances, it didn’t take long before fans decided to turn on her again and again as they just hated how WWE booked her character. WWE intended to send her into the woman’s tag team picture but then a sudden injury is still keeping her Wrestlemania status in jeopardy.
As for the Hit Row faction, Triple H brought them back but their comeback fell flat after just a few weeks. Even after a heel turn, they can’t be utilized, each week on WWE Smackdown. Karrion Kross came back in last August and looked to receive a monstrous booking, straight into the title picture. However, his biggest win still stands against Drew McIntyre at Extreme Rules.
