Legendary Lita is no more under contract with the WWE. It’s been more than three years that she has stepped into a WWE ring to perform. There’s no update on whether she will come back for one more match. But she’s definitely keeping herself up-to-date with the current landscape of women’s wrestling.
Despite the likes of Sasha Banks claiming that WWE Women’s Division has been at its peak, the actual doesn’t reflect the same. The inaugural Queen’s Crown didn’t meet the expectations as the superstars didn’t receive enough time to showcase their wrestling skills. Hence, Lita might not be agreeing with Banks especially given that AEW promotion is doing pretty well.

In an interview with Steve Muehlhausen of DAZN, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked if she kept up with the current wrestling product. She offered a positive response to the question by pointing out that she had watched a ton of AEW products in recent times.
“Of course, I love it, and I definitely check-in,” Lita confessed. “I was watching a bunch of AEW that I checked in on. I always want to know what’s going on. I always want to see what people are doing. So I’d say I float around in what I watch.”

Lita says AEW will create more competition
The four-time Women’s Champion added that AEW products are really exciting and eventually they should create more healthy competition among other wrestling companies.
“I just love seeing the fans like it really deep because I think that excitement of the fans being excited about wrestling translates to the other promotions. It makes people think it would do the opposite, but then people are like ‘I want more good wrestling.’ So, they’re checking in at WWE, Ring of Honor, Impact, NWA, and GCW,” Lita stated.
Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D vs. Thunder Rosa’s violent Lights Out, back in March on AEW Dynamite was one of those outings that really impressed the WWE Hall of Famer. One week after that career-altering match, the now AEW Women’s Champion, Baker, mentioned on Renee Paquette’s podcast that she would love to get feedback from Lita and Trish Stratus, her idols about that match. She received her wish, as the match received a grand reception from Lita.
“I did [watch it], not initially. But holy s–t, right? It was insane. It was great that they got that spotlight. But you need a moment that brings you up from a wrestler that people have heard about to [someone] that knocks your stock up.”
