Last night marked the final televised episode of WWE Smackdown before Super ShowDown. Every superstar tried to pick up some momentums before the international PPV event. A Moment of Bliss was a special attraction of the show whereas Roman Reigns and Kofi Kingston had retribution in mind. Plus, a debuting Goldberg was the headliner for the show that took place at the Sames Auto Arena in Laredo, Texas.

Rey Mysterio Vacated United States Title On WWE Raw
First Match Announced For Stomping Grounds Featuring Roman Reigns
Smackdown Live opened with the WWE champion Kofi Kingston coming out to the ring with Xavier Woods. The champ talked about his visit to his home country after 26 years that was emotional. Dolph Ziggler came out to show a video package from his career and claim that he will win the WWE title on Friday at Super ShowDown.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn interrupted as they had a scheduled tag team match on Smackdown against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Owens put Woods on the top rope to receive a drop-kick off the top rope. Kofi and Sami got the tags from their respective partners. The Champ hit a number of moves before Owens tried to interfere but Woods took him out. Kofi hit the Trouble in Paradise to get the win. After the match, Ziggler appeared to super-kick both Kofi and Woods.
Alexa Bliss appeared on the stage for A moment of Bliss with Smackdown Live women’s champion Bayley. She was focussed more on getting her coffee rather than asking questions to Bayley who threw a cup of coffee from Bliss’ hands. Carmella came out to remind that she is a two-time MITB contract winner. Charlotte Flair also arrived to inform there will be a triple threat match featuring Flair, Carmella, and Bliss to determine the new number one contender for women’s title.
A Lumberjack match was next on Smackdown between R-Truth and Elias over the 24/7 Championship. Elias threw Truth to the outside as all superstars attacked him. Back to the ring, Elias delivered a knee to the face to pin Truth to win the title. After the match, Truth and Elias went underneath the ring and where Truth again pinned Elias to regain the 24/7 title.
Shane McMahon appeared on Smackdown with The Revival to talk how he is going to dismantle Roman Reigns at Super ShowDown. Roman soon appeared and delivered two Superman Punches on Dash and Dawson. He approached the ring but Drew McIntyre arrived to hit a Claymore Kick. He held Roman up as Shane hit a spear on him.
The Triple Threat Number One Contender’s match was next on Smackdown with the lineup Charlotte Flair vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Carmella. Carmella delivered a Super Kick on Flair to take control of the match when Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville showed up to distract her. Flair went for the superkick but Carmella dropped her with another superkick. Rose distracted Mella to which Bliss responded with a DDT to pick up the win.
Lars Sullivan gave an interview to Kyla Braxton on how he is going to destroy Lucha House Party at Super ShowDown.
Andrade vs. Apollo Crews was the next match on Smackdown. Andrade dropped his opponent with the Hammerlock DDT even before the match began. Finn Balor’s music hit as he came out to stomp him down. But Zelina Vega pulled his legs allowing Andrade to drop him with a Hammerlock DDT.
Goldberg made his debut appearance on Smackdown. There was no pyro for the Hall of Famer as he walked down to the ring in the midst of chants of his name. Goldberg said that he would put The Undertaker into rest in peace when the gong hit the arena as we see The Undertaker standing behind him. The lights went out as The Undertaker also disappeared from the ring to end the show.
