WWE Smackdown fans in attendance as well as viewers all around the world were met with a pleasant treat on the latest episode. After a long gap of five years, Emma made her return to the WWE and received a title match opportunity, right away. Although it didn’t end well for her, she’s now hoping to have a great run with the company under a new regime led by Triple H.
Emma had a memorable run in NXT as she was part of the original bunch of female wrestlers back then, including the likes of Saraya, Summer Rae, and more. Her main roster run around WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown was nothing memorable for several reasons. Eventually, she was released in 2017 until the latest comeback.

During the latest appearance, Emma made her return to WWE programming to answer Ronda Rousey’s open challenge for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Emma took Rousey to her limit while fighting for the title but in the end, The Baddest Women on the Planet made Emma tap out with an armbar but not before raking her into the eyes.

Emma will continue to be a part of WWE Smackdown
After the match, many fans were speculating whether this was just a one-off appearance or if Emma is permanently back in the WWE. It seems like WWE has provided a confirmation regarding Emma’s current status. The Australian Superstar is back on the company’s website following her WWE Smackdown bout against Ronda Rousey. The graphic suggests that she will be part of the blue brand, going forward.
It will be interesting to see how WWE uses Emma this time, especially after her previous two main roster runs with the company were mostly forgettable. We can only expect that with a new regime in control things will be different for her, moving forward. Given her first appearance and the loud reactions she received, she should be a babyface figure on WWE Smackdown.
Emma did lose to the WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion during her return but she was overwhelmed by the fan support. Taking to Twitter, she promised to take care of unfinished business in WWE,
“5 years ago I was heartbroken feeling like my dream had come to an end. Today my heart is so full! ❤. I’m overwhelmed by the amount of support I have. You guys are the best. Now… I’ve got some unfinished business to take care of!”
