In the absence of Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar is headlining WWE’s premium shows, all week along. He was present on this week’s Monday Night Raw to get reunited with his advocate Paul Heyman and also receive a new challenge in Bobby Lashley. Now, he is also confirmed to appear on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown.
As RAW came to a close, this week, Brock Lesnar was asked to opine about Bobby Lashley possibly earning a WWE Title shot at the Royal Rumble 2022. The Beast Incarnate wasn’t bothered about getting a dream opponent at The Rumble. Instead of talking about Lashley, he simply mentioned how his ongoing feud will continue on Smackdown,
“You tell Roman Reigns I’ll see him this Friday on SmackDown,” Lesnar stated.

With that being said, chances are there that Roman Reigns will be back on TV, this Friday night following his COVID-19 diagnosis. WWE never confirmed the upcoming appearance but they did air a vignette to indicate that there will be massive fallouts from Day 1 on Smackdown, this week that takes place at the Mohegan Sun Arena Uncasville, Connecticut.
Roman Reigns is likely to return sooner than later
There’s no confirmed update on how Roman Reigns’ recovery process is going. The Usos recently caught up with Sports Illustrated after their successful title defense against Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of The New Day at WWE Day 1 and provided an update on the WWE Universal Champion with the following statement,
“It felt off not having the Tribal Chief around. This match was for him. We represented, and he’s going to be OK. He’s home resting, and maybe playing some Call of Duty. We’re going to see him back soon.”
“We opened the show, and we’re so used to seeing The Big Uce close the show. This pandemic is crazy, and all we want is for him to be safe and take care of himself.”
From the above updates and the fact that Seth Rollins got over the COVID-19 in the quickest time, we hope to see Roman Reigns back in action, as soon as this week. Brock Lesnar captured the WWE Title in the main event of Saturday’s WWE Day 1 in his absence but the rivalry is far from over.
