Ronda Rousey created quite the scenes on Smackdown over the past few weeks before getting rid of her suspensions in the company. She went ballistic after losing the SmackDown Women’s Championship rematch to Liv Morgan at SummerSlam on July 30th, 2022 due to the referee’s controversial call in the match.
Ronda Rousey was previously fined and suspended for attacking the referee after the match. The Baddest Woman on the Planet made Liv Morgan tap out with her Armbar submission. Still, the referee never spotted the happening but rather awarded the champion with the pinfall win which caused anger in the challenger.

As the fine and suspension continued, Ronda Rousey was featured on SmackDown, last week in a segment with WWE Official Adam Pearce. The former SmackDown Women’s Champion asked the latter to tell the crowd that she had been cleared to compete by the WWE management. She also told Pearce to kiss her behind as well.

Pearce snapped via those comments and told Ronda Rousey that he had tolerated enough of her bullying antics. The current on-screen authority figure called her a bi**h, which also caused a sudden beatdown on him. He was also punished with an arm bar after which many believed that repercussions were waiting for the attacker.
Over on this week’s Smackdown, commentator Michael Cole noted that Ronda Rousey was punished “internally” for her actions. Nothing regarding those actions was detailed in or after the show. Interestingly though, she is now entitled to receive a championship match at Extreme Rules PPV.
As seen on Smackdown Ronda Rousey participated in a fatal-5-way no disqualification match to determine the number one contender to Liv Morgan’s SmackDown Women’s Championship. Overcoming Sonya Deville, Natalya, Xia Li, and Lacey Evans, The Baddest Woman on the Planet picked up the win to secure her spot at the upcoming PPV event.
On her way to getting the rematch for Smackdown Women’s Title against Liv Morgan, Ronda Rousey made Sonya Deville tap out to the Ankle Lock. Now, these two will lock horns at Extreme Rules PLE which takes place inside Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 8th, 2022.
