WWE Smackdown will be presenting the post-Wrestlemania 38 episode which generally has some major surprises on the card. The storylines for the future get kicked off while the fallouts from the bygone huge event also get addressed. While all these are expected on tonight’s edition, we also expect a massive return to happen, as well.
WWE Superstar Lacey Evans is reportedly returning to WWE soon. The former military has been out of action from WWE since early 2021 as she was pregnant with her second child. PWInsider provided an update regarding her return by mentioning that she is scheduled to be at this Friday’s WWE SmackDown taping in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“Lacey Evans, who took time off from WWE back in 2021 in advance of having her second daughter, is slated to return to WWE shortly, PWInsider.com has confirmed.
Evans is scheduled to be at tomorrow’s Friday Night Smackdown taping in Milwaukee.”

There’s no word yet on what WWE has planned for The Lady of the WWE, but when she left television, she was feuding with the current WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. They were also scheduled to feature in a huge Wrestlemania 37 match. However, those plans were canceled as Evans proceeded to have a hiatus due to her pregnancy condition.

An abandoned angle could be renewed on WWE Smackdown
Chances are high that the abandoned angle could be rekindled if/when Evans returns to TV and confront WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair. The reigning champion defeated the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Ronda Rousey in a singles contest at Wrestlemania 38 to retain her belt, last week. So, it might be time for her to receive a new opponent.
Evans has not been assigned to any particular brand on the official WWE roster after she missed the WWE Draft back in October. Hence, there won’t be any problem re-introduce her on WWE Smackdown, starting this week. One year ago Evans appeared on The Bellas Podcast and had the following to say about her sudden pregnancy and thereby absence from WWE TV,
“I said I’ll just continue to take pregnancy tests for obvious reasons. And Sunday at 8:15 it was positive. It was one week to the day before Elimination Chamber. And I was like ‘this is great, but dammit.’ There’s a guilt, you know, you feel guilty because there’s so many people working for these storylines. From the writers to Charlotte to her father. And I’m just like ‘dang.’ But what can you do?”
