WWE Smackdown will come up with the post-Wrestlemania 38 episode where a number of surprises are expected to kick off the future storylines. A number of surprises are expected on the show to match up to the post-Mania expectations. Plus, it appears that a top Raw Superstar will also appear on the show to make the card even more stacked.
According to a new report from PW Insider, Cody Rhodes will be on WWE SmackDown, this week. He will be the second RAW Superstar scheduled for the show following Seth Rollins. Hence, there are speculations that Rollins and Rhodes might just continue their storyline on the blue brand.

These two superstars had a great WrestleMania match with Rhodes coming out on top of that one. The two also featured on Raw in a confrontation segment which ended in an abrupt way without any kind of indications on whether the Rhodes vs. Rollins program will continue. We’re likely to get the answers on WWE Smackdown when the post-Wrestlemania episode airs.
This week’s WWE SmackDown takes place from Milwaukee, Wisconsin which is touted to be a huge show. The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is the expected headliner of the show as he will give fans an idea about what could be next for him after beating Lesnar in a title vs. title matchup.

Plus, a big return is also expected through which WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair may receive her next challenger. Nothing much has been announced for the show except for Rollins and Rhodes getting booked. It may happen that these two end up competing in the dark main event match. This could be due to Roman Reigns’ being injured during his Wrestlemania 38 main event match.
While Rollins is assigned to the Raw brand, Rhodes is also expected to be on the same brand, moving forward. Hence, this WWE Smackdown appearance should a one-off, for the time being. While speaking on the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray plugged in Rhodes’ promo from Raw and criticized him for using a lot of big words in it.
“When it comes to the younger fans – Cody has a very big vocabulary. Cody will use a lot of big words, a lot of words that we might even have to look up the dictionary just to get the definition. I think with the WWE Universe, Cody should dumb it down a little bit. Keep it very family-friendly, kid-friendly.”
