WWE Smackdown is taped this week from Norfolk, Virginia. Michael Cole kicks things off with the show as he is standing in the ring with the Money in the Bank briefcase and welcomes his guest Dean Ambrose. Kevin Owens interrupts the conversation and then the same thing follows courtesy of Sami Zayn and then Alberto Del Rio. All three men who already have qualified for the match talk about their chances of winning the Money in the Bank briefcase at the PPV whereas Del Rio is scheduled for a qualifying match as the opening contest of WWE Smackdown.
Alberto Del Rio def. Zack Ryder (MITB Qualifier match)
Del Rio had a great match against Zack Ryder as the qualifier and predictably picked up the win after locking in the cross arm-breaker. There are probably a handful of people in the building who would have believed that Ryder will win. This is a poor booking. Though, Del Rio is a strong contender for the briefcase.
Next Enzo Amore and Big Cass are scheduled to do some talking. Dudleyz interrupts them and Enzo prevents them via the microphone. After a confrontation, Dudleyz decides to go back to avoid an impromptu match up.
