This past edition of WWE Smackdown witnessed a shocking incident where Shayna Baszler took out her former tag team partner Natalya. For no definite reason, The Queen of Spades decided to redesign the face of the Gatekeeper of the WWE Women’s Division after competing against her in a short one-on-one match.
With WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey accompanying her in the ring, Baszler dominated the better part of the match before passing out Natalya with the Kirifuda Clutch submission. Once the match was over, Rousey insisted on further attacks that led Baszler to hit Nattie with a stiff kick into the face.

Following WWE Smackdown, Natalya took to Twitter to post a gruesome photo of hers with blood all over her nose to show off that she had a broken nose along with the following comment,
“I knew Shayna wanted her big break in WWE. Didn’t know it would be my nose.”

According to the reports of POST Wrestling, the knee strike was scripted to write Natalya off WWE programming as the former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion was already scheduled to undergo nasal surgery. Once it was done successfully, she also took to Twitter to inform the news of successful nose surgery.
The report from POST Wrestling added that multiple people knew that Natalya was taking time off due to nasal surgery following the November 4 taped episode of WWE Smackdown, which was taped on October 28 so that the WWE roster can flow to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel event on November 5. So, the assumption is that the surgery was performed much earlier than the photo was posted.

There’s no update on when Natalya would be back on WWE Smackdown. The attack on her will allow Shayna Baszler to showcase her brutal side under the influence of Ronda Rousey. While speaking to WWE Digital Exclusive the second-longest reigning NXT Champion had the following to say regarding her actions,
“You know it seems to me that everyone around here has forgotten what I’m capable of, including me. So, my former tag partner had to experience massacres so that I can remind everyone just what I’m about. That’s all I was. And if we’re being honest, Nattie annoys everyone including me.”
