The November 7 episode of WWE Raw appeared to be an eventful one with multiple returns and a Money in the Bank cash-in. In another major incident from the show, WWE might have possibly abandoned the 24/7 Championship from their programming after the current title holder Nikki Cross got rid of it in a surprising manner.

WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair made her way to the ring, last night to celebrate her victory over Bayley in a Last Woman Standing match at WWE Crown Jewel, this past Saturday night. She was accompanied by former Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Asuka who lost their belts to DAMAGE CTRL’s Dakota Kai and IYO SKY on that same night.

The trio called out Damage CTRL on WWE Raw and got involved in a physical brawl. It was Belair who suggested a WarGames match at Survivor Series. Interestingly Nikki Cross attacked the babyfaces from behind as she had seemingly joined DAMAGE CTRL. The heel ultimately prevailed during the segment.

Afterward, Damage CTRL spoke to Nikki backstage and talked her to be on their side during the WarGames match. Bayley also added that Nikki didn’t have to wait until Survivor Series to showcase her aggression as she could take out her frustrations against Dana Brooke on WWE Raw.

WWE Raw: Nikki Cross abandoned 24/7 Championship

In the next segment, Nikki proceeded to defeat Dana Brooke for the 24/7 Championship as Bayley watched on from commentary. Cross hit a Swinging Neckbreaker and got a clean pinfall win to win the title for the second time in her career.

After the match, Bayley placed the 24/7 title on Nikki’s shoulders. Backstage, Nikki was walking with DAMAGE CTRL when she suddenly threw the title away in a trash can as if she didn’t care about the title.

Since Triple H became the WWE Chief Content Officer, the 24/7 Title has barely been featured on TV and it was evident that he’s not interested in keeping the title intact for no reason. So the title drop on the trash can during WWE Raw was perhaps the final move of removing the belt from TV. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful promises to deliver more updates on the situation in the future.
