WWE Smackdown will provide the final buildup for Wrestlemania 40 just a night before the biggest premium live event of the year goes down. The blue brand has recently been delivering captivating storylines and things shouldn’t be any different than the previous weeks’ shows. Fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation of those where Wrestlemania-caliber matchups will also go down to amp things up.
The latest upcoming episode of WWE Smackdown will be emanating from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and will be airing at 8 pm Eastern time slot on FOX as usual. The main event attraction for the night is going to be the return of the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
The annual battle royal was announced, last week sans the competitors. For now, a lineup of over 20 wrestlers is there and among them will be Shinsuke Nakamura, Andrade, Ricochet, Omos, Chad Gable, Bronson Reed, and Pretty Deadly. There should be a couple of surprise appearances but those are yet to be announced.
Mercedes Mone Was In Talks To Join WWE’s Damage CTRL Faction?
Last week, Rey Mysterio introduced the newest member of the LWO, Dragon Lee to further announce that it’ll be him and Dragon Lee vs. Dominik Mysterio & Santos Escobar at WrestleMania 40 in a tag team match. On this week’s WWE Smackdown, the two respective members of the group, Zelina Vega and Electra Lopez will face each other in a singles encounter.
Additionally, WWE Smackdown will showcase The KO Show with Randy Orton with the host Kevin Owens before they challenge Logan Paul for the US Title. Jey Uso will be seen facing off against Solo Sikoa in a brother vs. brother matchup while a tag team match pitting Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate against Austin Theory & Grayson Waller has also been confirmed.
