The new episode of WWE Chronicle aired on the WWE Network featuring Braun Strowman that threw shade at his WWE career. 2020 has been a very successful year for him where he won the first world championship of his career and became one of the top stars of the WWE SmackDown brand. But there’s a flip side of the coin that we never knew.
As WWE took a closer look at his path of success, it was revealed that Braun Strowman got pi**ed very much when Vince McMahon told him he wasn’t ready to become World Champion, at one point. In the video documentary episode, he went on to reveal that he had suicidal thoughts due to his bad booking in WWE at one point.

WWE Star Braun Strowman Thought Of Killing Himself Over Frustrations
“I got to the point where I was on the verge of I had enough. I kind of busted in on Vince one day in a meeting and I was like ‘I need to talk to you’ and he kicked everybody out of the production meeting and he sat down and talked to me. Not like boss to employee but like man to man, almost like a father-son talk thing.
I’m very thankful to have a relationship with him like that because I might not even be here. I don’t even like talking about this out loud but I was thinking about killing myself a couple of times. That I got to that point, I should have talked to somebody sooner. I never knew how much he cared about me. I thought I was just a number in a system. That day he made me realize that I’m more important than a number I can’t thank him enough for doing that.”
It’s a fact that Braun Strowman received a monstrous push while debuting in the WWE. Being the behemoth figure, he used to possess an undefeated streak until getting into a feud against Roman Reigns in 2017. The dominance and destruction continued but he was never able to win the World Titles despite receiving opportunities.
The poor booking around him continued as in 2018, Braun Strowman became the Money in the Bank winner. But unfortunately, he became one of the four WWE Superstars in the history who failed to cash in the championship contract, successfully. We believe this could be the timespan when the Monster Among Men was going through that down-going phase in his career.
It was earlier this year when Braun Strowman won his first singles championship in the form of the Intercontinental Title. He dropped it to Sami Zayn only to find himself in a match against Goldberg. Strowman thus became only a few of the names who pinned The Myth and pick up his first Universal Championship at the grandest stage of WrestleMania.
The former champion has now become a heel who is also sporting a completely different look. During WWE Chronicle, he discussed the conversation with Vince McMahon before he wanted to shave his head bald, after The Horror Show At Extreme Rules.
“I called Vince and I said, ‘Vince, it’s time to get rid of this crappy hair.’ He’s like, ‘Well, why?’ Well for one, it looks bad, and two, I’m about to get a little nasty.
[Vince] said, ‘Give me a day, I gotta run it through everything to make sure… legalities, licensing and everything. Give me 24 hours, just shoot me a text and I’ll let you know.’ Texted him back the next day, hour or so later he responded with a thumbs up. So it went away.”
Braun Strowman also disclosed the reason why he decided to go bald,
“I think it’s a refresher that Braun needed. We’re getting back to the old Braun, the Braun that made Braun The Monster Among Men.”
