Zelina Vega was pulled off MSG Super Smackdown

As reported earlier, a match was pulled from SmackDown as Edge vs. Seth Rollins went ahead of time. It was reported that the match was to feature Liv Morgan and a partner vs. Carmella and Vega. In an update, Morgan’s partner was going to be Toni Storm, according to John Pollock. There is still no confirmation available whether this match would be scheduled for a later episode of Smackdown.

Zelina Vega posted photos of her father on social media and then thanked her fans for their support, this week. She also prepared a custom ring gear to honor Michael on last night’s SmackDown, but in an unprecedented move by WWE, her tag match was trimmed down from the show.

The superstar belonging to the NY area spoke with Yahoo Sports to promote WWE’s return to Madison Square Garden for Smackdown. She was very excited about performing on the show and give a tribute to her passed away father.

“I feel a sense of honor, a sense of pride,” Zelina Vega said. “Obviously we have the choice if we want to read names or not and I felt like this was the appropriate year to do it. I did it once before, when I was 13 years old, and it was a very big responsibility for someone so young. I also felt like I had a duty to represent my father. I feel the same thing for the 20th anniversary.”
