32nd annual Summerslam took place last night that was nothing short of an extravaganza. Multiple championship matches were on the card to hype up the show whereas Hall of Famers returned to make it even more stacked. Plus, there were title changes on the night that will go down in the history books as one of the best. Check out the results from the show that took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Summerslam kick-off show results

WWE Cruiserweight Title Match: Oney Lorcan vs. Drew Gulak

Gulak used mean way to win the title as he hurt the throat of Lorcan while the referee was not watching. He followed up with the Cyclone Crash for the victory.

Buddy Murphy vs. Apollo Crews

Rowan ran down to the ring to attack Murphy to disqualify this matchup at the kick-off show match. powerbombed Murphy into the ring post to lay him down.

Elias had his usual musical segment bashing the Toronto crowd at Summerslam kick-off. Suddenly WWE Hall of Famer Edge’s music hit as he came out to a huge pop. He put down Elias with his pendant spear to end the segment.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles Match: The IIconics vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross (c)

Alexa Bliss knocked out Royce with a big right hand and hit the Twisted Bliss on he to retain the women’s tag team titles.

WWE Raw Women’s Title Match
Natalya vs. Becky Lynch (c)

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch kicked off Summerslam with a huge ovation from the crowd. Natalya also came out to a big home-country pop and started the match with a slap. She hurt Becky’s legs and locked in the Sharpshooter for a couple of time. Becky somehow got out of it and applied the Dis-arm-her as Natalya tapped out.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Bill Goldberg

Ziggler’s rant about Goldberg continued even before this match began at Summerslam. He hit two Superkicks on the legend who kicked out. He hit back Ziggler with a spear and pinned after Jackhammer for the win. Ziggler took the mic and talked trash even after the match to receive two more spears from Goldberg.

WWE United States Title Match
Ricochet vs. AJ Styles (c)

Ricochet fought valiantly despite having a bad leg during this match. A clothesline followed by a Shooting Star Press almost earned him the pinfall win. But AJ came back putting the Calf Crushed on the injured legs. Ricochet tried to fight back with an Anaconda Vice bit fought back and hit him with a Styles Clash for the win.

SmackDown Women’s Title Match
Ember Moon vs. Bayley (c)

Moon blocked a Bayley-to-Belly suplex from the champion and dropped her with a huge powerbomb. She hit the top rope going for the Eclipse but Bayley cut her off and hit the Bayley-to-Belly from top-rope to retain her title at Summerslam.

Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens
(Owens will quit WWE if he loses)

Shane threw Owens out of the ring trying to steal a count-out win. Owens came back hitting a Cannonball on him when Elias handed him a chair. It was bait so that Owens uses the chair and disqualifies himself. But the Prizefighter smacked it on the back of Elias to a huge pop. Owens entered the ring and kicked Shane below the belt before hitting the Stunner for the win at Summerslam.

Charlotte Flair vs. Trish Stratus

Flair had full control for the early part of this Summerslam matchup until Trish made a valiant comeback. The legend ducked a huge powerbomb from the top but and convert it into a big Hurricarana. She had Flair locked in with a Figure Four but digested a big boot. Flair then bridged into Figure Eight to receive the Submission Win.

WWE Title Match
Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston (c)

Randy Orton raked Kofi into the eyes and had the early advantage. Kofi tried to come back with a Trouble In Paradise but Orton countered with a backbreaker. He dropped Kofi with a DDT and nailed him with an RKO out of mid-air. Orton talked trash on Kofi’s family at outside which led a relentless attack from the champion to disqualify the match.

‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt vs. Finn Balor

Wyatt received brand new entrance at Summerslam as the fans chanted ‘this is awesome’. He controlled the match for most of the part with an Uranage. Balor came back with a Slingblade but missed the Coup De Grace and Wyatt locked in the Mandible Claw for the win.

WWE Universal Title Match
Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar (c)

The crowd was on their feet for this incredible Summerslam main event where Rollins hit The Stomp in the beginning moments for a two-count. Lesnar targeted the injured mid-ribs of Rollins and dropped him with multiple German Suplexes. Rollins came back hitting a Frog Splash off the German announce table. He hit another Frog Splash and countered an F-5 attempt with a Stomp to pin Lesnar. Rollins celebrated with the Universal Championship to end Summerslam.
