Becky Lynch is back and she’s the new Women’s Champion from the Smackdown brand at WWE Summerslam 2021. In what appeared to be a surprising set of incidents at the bygone PPV event, the original matchup for the blue brand title match was off the card and the returnee became the new challenger for the title. She then captured the title in the least effort possible.
Going into WWE Summerslam 2021, we have learned that Sasha Banks was off the card and her match against Bianca Belair was also not taking place. No specific details were given regarding her absence. Sasha was not at the Footprint Center for SmackDown this past Friday night. While she and Bianca Belair also missed last weekend’s non-televised WWE Supershow live events in North and South Carolina.

Smackdown announcer Greg Hamilton announced that Sasha Banks was unable to compete and Belair will defend her title against the most beautiful woman in all of WWE, Carmella. The music hit and Carmella came out as Belair was fully confused.

The crowd of WWE Summerslam 2021 booed the hell out of Carmella as she made her entrance. Belair took the mic and said that she will eventually Sasha Banks in the ring, but until then she’s just going to take her frustrations out on Carmella, right there. They argue as the bell hits but the music interrupted and out came Becky Lynch to a huge pop from the audience. Lynch was fired up as is the crowd as she headed her way to the ring with a brand new t-shirt that said, “The Man’s Back In Vegas.”

Becky looked at both the competitors, then kicked Carmella and threw her out of the ring. Becky then sent Carmella into the steel ring steps. Before stepping back into the ring and have a staredown with the champion before proposing a title match right there at WWE Summerslam 2021.
Belair accepted the match as the bell rang. Lynch offered her hand for a shake but she proceeded to deck Belair in the jaw, and then dropped her with the pump-handle slam to win the title in just a few seconds. This title win is the third Smackdown Women’s Title win for THE MAN who is likely to be in the charge of the blue brand from now onwards.
