So Summerslam 2023 is here and it was loaded with some action packed matches. There were a lot of expectations from this year’s Summerslam since the card looked pretty much stacked.  Both world titles were scheduled to be defended tonight along with some other big matches with two more title matches. Let us go through all the matches that took place in the show.

WWE Summerslam 2023 Results Part 1, Logan Paul Vs. Ricochet, Brock Lesnar Vs. Cody Rhodes, Big Twist

The first match of the night was booked for some 18 minutes and it was an excellent match. It was the rightful kick off and we believe no other match could be a better choice to be the opening match of the show. Kudos to both athletes for putting up such an amazing performance.

But there was only one issue, the ending of the match was terrible. Even Michael Cole could not help it when he said, “That was a great matchup but the ending sucked.” and he was absolutely right. They should have come up with something better in the mind to end the match. This ending just ruined a 5 star competition.

The match was going really well and at the end of the match, Logan Paul used a Brass Knuckle to knockout Ricochet and pinned him. That was it for the match. Could not WWE come up with something better in mind? From the very first minute because an excellently fast paced match, but it was pretty unfortunate that the ending completely ruined this excellent match.

Match 2 – Cody Rhodes defeated Brock Lesnar

This was the second match of the night and it was booked a little earlier on the card than expected. It was also book for nearly 18 minutes and it was a pretty entertaining match. Even though we cannot call it the best match of the night. Two athletes put up and excellent competition, and this possibly was the best match of all three of their matches.

Brock Lesnar dominated the whole match and Cody picked up the control at the end of the match. This match played an amazing role to give the ultimate boost to Cody Rhodes for becoming a top star. This big victory would definitely help him to cement himself as a top star of the promotion.

But there was one issue in this match, and a big one. During the match, Cody hit Brock with a Steep Step and the referee allowed it. Shouldn’t have he been disqualified instantly? When did Steep Steps become legal in regular matches? But apart from this issue, it was a great match overall. Cody hit three back to back Cross Rhodes to pin Brock Lesnar. After the match, Brock showed respect to Cody by hugging him and raising his hand.
