WOW has been receiving some negative promotions as of late after what has transpired with their top talent Tessa Blanchard. There have been some reported fallouts between the two parties and the top female superstar’s involvement is said to be in jeopardy.
With former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee serving as the Executive Producer, WOW announced in October that they have signed a multi-year deal with ViacomCBS to air new WOW TV episodes on The CW and CBS stations, each weekend in 2022 fall. Taping for the episodes was set to begin taping this Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at The Globe Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
As reported earlier, Fightful Select noted how there are allegations of issues surrounding Tessa Blanchard and WOW. The re-launch of the brand could have marked the in-ring return for the former WOW Champion.
An update claims that during a mid-April class, Tessa Blanchard cut a promo on Samantha Sage, also known as Americana. The promo reportedly saw Blanchard “tear apart” Sage and as a result, some of the other trainees spoke up against her. It should be noted that the allegation of venting out at her colleagues isn’t new to the former Impact superstar.

WOW officials didn’t comment on Tessa Blanchard situation
A source noted that acting classes were then canceled after the recent incident from that point until further notice. At least one trainee was reportedly told that Tessa Blanchard would be less involved with the WOW project moving forward, but no confirmation has been received. Obviously, this led to a fallout between the talent and the officials and the situation reportedly prevails.
One former WOW talent said they believe that Tessa Blanchard is gone from WOW, but that also has not been confirmed. WOW officials were urged to make comments weeks ago, but they did not respond. Many of the people working with WOW have signed non-disclosure agreements and there could be more fallouts if they speak out.
Amid all of these, Tessa Blanchard’s pro-wrestling future remains in jeopardy since her controversial exit from Impact Wrestling in March 2020 when she still was the Impact World Champion. That exit came months after bullying and racism accusations were filed against her. Many believe that these are the reasons why she couldn’t sign a new deal with top promotions like WWE or AEW.
