WWE ThunderDome facility is likely to remain intact for some more time. If the latest reports are any indications then the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida will be WWE’s home ground for some more weeks. At least the end of November, Vince McMahon and Co will continue producing shows from the arena. Perhaps they could even stay there for the rest of the year.

During Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez mentioned that he heard WWE plans to stay in the Amway Center “until at least January.” WWE has not confirmed this, till now. As per the official record, October 31st marks the expiry date for WWE ThunderDome and the company will have to find a newer venue for production. That week’s Raw should be the last TV show from there.

Alvarez that the Amway Center authorities could come to an agreement to let a small number of fans into RAW and SmackDown tapings inside WWE ThunderDome in the following weeks. Their current deal with the venue doesn’t allow to bring in live fans. But the principles of Florida Govt is changing with times as they have decided to re-open the state, slowly.

This is the reason WWE’s Capitol Wrestling Center formerly known as WWE Performance Center brought in friends and family for NXT tapings. Those had to go through a COVID-19 test to produce negative outputs before making the entry. They’re also masked the entire time as long as the tapings went down. The same protocol could be followed for WWE ThunderDome, too.

According to PW Insider, too, WWE ThunderDome isn’t going away so soon. Their contract was set to expire on October 31st, but they are staying at least four more weeks. The company will be producing Raw, Smackdown, and PPVs out of Orlando’s Amway Center, extending the current deal. It means it will take around December, at least for the ThunderDome exit.

The previous thinking was that preponing Hell In A Cell up to October 25th was to get one more pay-per-view out of WWE ThunderDome. Now, Survivor Series 2020 is also likely to take place through the virtual fan environment as well. Vince McMahon does want to bring fans back to Raw and SmackDown, but authorities’ permission is required for that.
