WrestleMania 36 started the genre of being a two-night pay-per-view event for the first time in WWE history. The concept was introduced as WWE wanted to counter the pandemic’s resistance in a unique manner. The show was carried out in an empty WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida and they didn’t intend to provide a 7 or 8-hour show at a time.

The condition is going to be a bit improved, this year as WrestleMania 37 is scheduled at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida. A few attendances by the fans are also expected at this year’s show of shows which is going to be a two-night extravaganza, as well. So the question is that whether WWE is willing to carry the new concept.

It is not WWE’s intention to keep that going every year, it seems. While speaking to TV Insider, Stephanie McMahon confirmed that WWE plans to make a return with their original single-night WrestleMania concept in the future. She did not confirm when it will happen, but we can assume that could begin with next year as the pandemic could be in control in 2021.

Stephanie McMahon spoke on Wrestlemania future

Here’s more on what the WWE Chief Brand Officer had to offer regarding the future of the Biggest Event of the Year,

“We want to maximize the value. The two nights are unique to the times. [We have plans] to go back to one night for future WrestleMania events, but of course, we will see what happens this year. We want to deliver the best possible value we can for our fans who are hopefully able to attend and for those watching all around the world.”

For the first time ever, WWE has recently announced the next three WrestleMania schedule, at a time. WWE will go to the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas in 2022 and then they will be at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California in 2023. We’ll have to wait and see if the company keeps up their two-night PPV model from next year onwards.

WWE can obviously score more viewers as well as more money that way, but it also requires a lot of work. For now, the big news is that fans will be in attendance at WrestleMania 37. Stephanie McMahon has confirmed the show in April will be WWE’s first main roster event since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to have fans physically being present. She noted the same during an interview with TMZ.
