WWE: Twitter Reactions From This Week’s Smackdown Live: February 27, 2018
Feb 28, 2018 at 2:00 PM
John Cena coming down to Smackdown Live was huge indeed. It is how a marquee name like him can make the difference in TV rating.
This is also the reason as of why the officials value him so much in the storyline angle. It was evident that the franchise player would be gunning for the WWE Championship and a solid opener was set up in the opening contest to raise the stakes high for the entire show.
Wow — that’s a huge main event for #SDLive. Cena vs. Styles. I picked a good night to fill in for @adamwrestleview. This has the chance to be a fantastic show. Good opener as Cena continues to search for his road to #WrestleMania.

The following match did not live up to the hype, though. The reason behind the same is the heel vs heel scenario which is a bad thing, most of the time when we think of crowd reactions. It was no wonder why the audience was quiet throughout the match. The competitors failed to deliver, also. The only time the fans cheered was when Dolph Ziggler arrived and planted Corbin with a zig-zag for good.
Not a bad match at all with Naomi and Ruby Riott. I really like Riott. She’s definitely the most polished of the group and has a solid character that could definitely have a high ceiling as a heel. #SDLive

The women’s division match was good, too. Ruby Riott is more than good, as a heel on the Smackdown division. She has been proven as a strong villainous competitor on the show since arriving. Hence, it is good to see her picking up some consecutive wins heading into the Fastlane PPV.
This will give her the momentums before competing in her first championship match in the WWE.
The promos between The New Day and The Usos have always been good. These two are veteran teams and is likely to deliver to the fullest at Fastlane. The Rusev Day gimmick is on fire, right now. Hence, it was not surprising to see it getting chanted all around the arena almost during the entire show.
Another great match with AJ Styles and John Cena. What a treat to get to recap that match. I’m not a huge fan of the WWE Champion losing, but I don’t think his title reign is in jeopardy at #WWEFastlane.

AJ Styles vs John Cena on Smackdown Live proved why these two are the very bests when it comes to pro-wrestling league. It was the fourth match between the dream lineup that delivered yet another big contest. Every time these two meet inside the ring, magic gets created. This time around, there was no difference.
Overall, this was a pretty strong effort from #SDLive. I really enjoyed the show. It flew by for me.
