WrestleMania 37 is going to be a spectacular event after a dud 36th edition, last year as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The tradition of WWE hosting a two-night spectacle will also continue promising that the company will bring in a lengthy match card. Although things aren’t confirmed, yet WWE will ensure that things should remain stacked.

Contradictory reports are available on Vince McMahon finalizing the WrestleMania 37 card. While a source suggests that nothing is confirmed the other one says the card is nearly set. The flow of information backstage is strictly prohibited to leak out the spoilers. While some of the matches seem certain, WWE could still pull off some surprises.

But the big thing is that WWE will be missing some big players for WrestleMania 37. During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer seemingly confirmed that Goldberg and Brock Lesnar will miss the build for the Show of Shows. They haven’t been booked and with only a few weeks remaining chances are really low that new storylines around him would be created.

Edge seems to be the only part-timer at Wrestlemania 37

Meltzer also mentioned The Undertaker who is also not expected to appear after the Final Farewell segment at Survivor Series, last year. Edge seems to be the only part-timer who would be wrestling this year at WrestleMania 37 in the potential main event against Roman Reigns. But perhaps a lot of criticism would be waiting for him for this upcoming match.

“No Goldberg, no Undertaker, no Lesnar. So, you’ve taken some of the biggest attractions off and Edge does not replace them. We’ve seen that. He just doesn’t. Edge looks old. Edge is gonna get a lot of criticism.” (Transcription by Ringside News)

WWE Wrestlemania 37: 5 Top Names Missing The Show Of Shows 2

Edge’s new gimmick is made of grit by virtue of which he’s back in the wrestling scene. Coming out of the Ultimate Opportunist gimmick, WWE has tried to present him in a newer manner as he competes against the Head of the Table, Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. Only time will tell whether this angle would be successful for the biggest event.

WWE still has a few weeks to book some big matches at WrestleMania 37, but John Cena is also another name who would miss the show. For the first time ever since 2004, he’d miss out on the Grandest Stage because he’s shooting the Peacemaker series for HBO Max. Many do believe that he would be back in time for the event but the COVID protocols won’t allow him to come back to the States from Canada.
