With cross-brand associations being a possibility, a star outside the WWE is planning on making an appearance at Wrestlemania 38. This chance was created by the WWE as they announced the reigning Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James for the Women’s Royal Rumble match. Now, the veteran wrestling star is planning on capitalizing on this opportunity and heading onto the Biggest Event of the Year.

In an unexpected announcement during this past episode of Smackdown, the current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Mickie James was announced for the Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 match where 30 female superstars will compete in an opportunity to a championship match at Wrestlemania 38.

WWE Is In Talks With All Elite Wrestling For An Upcoming Project

Chances are obviously high that someone within the WWE would win this match and then get a title shot. Being a former star of the company, Mickie James plans on rewriting the history book and thereby become the first-ever superstar outside the WWE to win the match and then go on to feature in a marquee match at Wrestlemania 38.

Mickie James to appear at Wrestlemania 38?

As you can read, the six-time WWE Women’s Champion is now planning on making an appearance at Wrestlemania 38. She can now have the opportunity to challenge for either the Raw or Smackdown Women’s Title while being the Impact Knockouts Champion, at the same time.

Before heading into the Rumble, Mickie successfully defended the IMPACT Knockouts Championship against Deonna Purrazzo in a Texas Deathmatch during this past Saturday’s Impact Wrestling Hard To Kill 2022 PPV. On the same night, Impact World Champion Moose defeated Matt Cardona (fka Zack Ryder in WWE) and W. Morrissey (fka Big Cass in WWE) in a Triple Threat Match to retain his title.

Since WWE is now said to have entered a partnership with Impact Wrestling, Moose has also challenged Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a dream match. Perhaps, the self-proclaimed Wrestling God also has the will to move to Wrestlemania 38 but that will only happen if WWE Chairman Vince McMahon allows.
