Wrestlemania 38 is going to be the biggest weekend for the sports entertainment industry starting tonight. Things will be bigger from Dallas, Texas as WWE brings the biggest match of all time where two bitter rivals will lock horns with both the top WWE championships hanging in the balance.
Star power will be presented by the WWE to attract the WWE Universe at Wrestlemania 38. Speaking of this, we have to mention John Cena who is synonymous with this event. Over the years, this man has featured in the most number of main event matches in the Showcase of Immortals and without his presence, the lineup may not be fulfilled. However, it appears the former franchise player will miss the event for two consecutive years.
Wrestlemania 38: Roman Reigns Favorite To Become A Dual Champion In WWE
Ringside News asked around about the possibility of Cena being a part of the massive WrestleMania 38 card and receive negative feedback. They were told that he is not in the plan, at all but like everything else, it was discussed. A tenured member of the creative team informed the source that, “Cena was discussed, as was everyone outside of religion and politics, but Cena was never a real possibility.”

Wrestlemania 38 won’t have Cenation Leader on the card
That being said, the Cenation Leader won’t be available for Wrestlemania 38 season just like he missed last year’s edition of the Shoe of Shows. He returns for a short stint back in the summer of 2021 to have a program with Roman Reigns. After losing the match to the Tribal Chief, his last official match saw him win in a tag contest with The Mysterios against The Bloodline at WWE’s October Madison Square Garden show.
At work-front, Cena remains super busy which makes sense that he won’t be back in action at Wrestlemania 38. One project after another is a lineup for him. He essayed the role of The Peacemaker and it will continue into season two on HBO Max. Then he went on to shoot a spy thriller franchise named Argylle in the United Kingdom.
In Cena’s absence, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin is returning to the ring at Wrestlemania 38, possibly to have a match against Kevin Owens. Ruthless Aggression Era superstars like Edge and Rey Mysterio will also be in action in separate matches, much to the delight of the WWE fans.
