Former 11 times WWE Tag Team Champion Xavier Woods recently revealed that he did not know about the consequences of the WWE Championship match between Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston from WrestleMania 35.
As mentioned, Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston fought for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 35 which is considered to be one of the most perfect matches in WWE history. After a lot of struggle and hard work, Kofi was finally given a chance to run as the WWE champion. The consequences of this match were quite similar to the ending of WrestleMania 12, which was highlighted as ‘the boyhood dream come true.’
Their stable the New Day was going really strong from 2014, the stable was been considered as one of the best stables in professional wrestling history. But this table was only going behind the Tag Team championships and it did not look like any one of them will ever go for any single Championship as long as they are engaged with the stable.
But the myth finally broke in after Kofi Kingston defeated Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35 to capture his first WWE Championship. This was something that the fans were looking for quite a long time. But the unfortunate thing was the way KofiMania ended.
Recently, Xavier Woods featured as latest guest on Insight With Chris Van Vliet where he revealed that he did not know about the consequences of the WWE championship match between Daniel Bryan and Kofi Kingston from WrestleMania 35. He said;
“I didn’t know what was going to happen. I said, ‘Don’t tell me.’ If the outcome is told to me and it changes mid-match, I don’t know what I’m going to do. So, don’t tell me a thing. I knew what we had to do at the end, but I didn’t know anything after that.
“I assumed, but no. All of that was so real because it was something that made it all real. Not that it wasn’t real before because we got to do amazing stuff up until that point, but this was the thing that said it’s not just us having fun and having a good time and a good laugh. We created something that is worth what we believe it’s worth. Now everyone sees what it’s worth.”
