Following her surprising return to WWE during this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, Zelina Vega has become the talk of the town for the professional wrestling circuit. She is the newest female addition to the blue brand female roster as well as the Women’s Money In The Bank match scheduled for Sunday, July 18. Now, she has talked about the upcoming opportunity.

This week on Talking Smack, Zelina Vega appeared for an interview with the host Kayla Braxton that found the attention of the WWE Universe since the two of them had quite the history. The returnee also talked about her new position and how she looks forward to making an impression as a solo performer on the blue brand for the first time in her WWE career.

“Listen, I’m just that good. I don’t need to qualify. I just am,” the former manager of Andrade boasted with a smirk on her face.

As seen on SmackDown, Zelina Vega didn’t have to qualify for the MITB spot. But she did herself in a peculiar position where she received a slap to the face and a loss from Liv Morgan. But like a pro, the heel was quick to produce some excuses for that pinfall loss by noting that she had no time to deal with someone like Morgan, who doesn’t belong on the same level, like her,

“She caught me off guard. That’s fine,” Vega said on taking a loss to Liv Morgan after her return. “Listen, I’m from Queens. I’ll take a slap to the face every day. It’s fine. But when you need to have a handful of tights to beat me, do you really think you’re a credible threat? But when it comes to Money In The Bank, I’m the one that’s going to be in the match. As of right now, not her. So, we can talk about the people who actually matter.”

After getting the spot in the 2021 Money In The Bank Ladder Match, Zelina Vega mentioned that she intends to walk out of the match with that briefcase and also has her sights set on the SmackDown Women’s Championship, a title she hasn’t attempted to fight for yet. Eventually, she also mentioned the same during her promo on SmackDown following the return on Friday Night.

“I’m not saying that I don’t got good vision, but I don’t see no competition there,” Zelina Vega stated confidently. “When I win, I think I have some unfinished business with Bianca [Belair] if she’s going to remain champion. I’m not fond of Bayley either. Whoever it’s going to be, that’s who I have my eyes on right now.” (Quotes courtesy Wrestling Inc)

The last title Zelina Vega went for before departing with WWE was the RAW Women’s Championship, which saw quite a good matchup between her and Asuka at Clash of Champions. After the shortcoming, she once again challenged the then Champion, the following Monday Night RAW preceding but wasn’t successful. It seems that she is eager to erase those bitter memories in months to follow.
