In what appears to be a major surprise, former WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, real name Thea Trinidad, is reportedly back with the company. The talent was just let go from her contract by the fall of 2020 due to the breaching of WWE’s third-party policy. Following the expiry of the no-compete clause with the WWE, she hasn’t signed with any other company, to date.
Now, Zelina Vega was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida on Thursday of this week, according to the reports of Fightful Select. It’s been noted that Vega was there at the Performance Center for some sort of filming purpose. Perhaps, this could have had some connection with her return and re-signing with the company, although there’s no confirmation available.

It was revealed that Zelina Vega was filmed walking into the Performance Center with Simone Johnson, the daughter of former WWE Champion The Rock. This could be for some sort of documentation purpose or perhaps WWE could be planning something with Vega and Johnson, who are friends in real life. The two have also previously posed together for Aleister Black’s Blxck Mass clothing company.

Back in February 2020, WWE announced that Simone Johnson had begun training at the Performance Center after signing a deal with the company. As of now, Simone is still considered to be an enhancement talent who is yet to make her WWE NXT debut.
