WWE SmackDown star and a former WWE women’s Tag Team Champion Zelina Vega who is also the winner of the Inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament recently explained how she proved her reliability in WWE. Zelina is currently working on Friday night Smackdown as a member of the Legado Del Fantasma.
Zelina Vega joined WWE back in 2017 after a long spell on the independent circuit. She was introduced in WWE as the manager of Andrade. She worked mostly as a wrestler on the independent circuit, so it was pretty obvious that she would not remain a manager for the rest of her WWE career.
Zelina Vega Discusses Her Own Reliability In WWE
In 2020 she started working as a professional wrestler in WWE. At first he was mostly treated as a jobber. But in mid 2021, WWE decided to push her as a main event star. WWE organized a Queen’s Crown tournament last year which was a substitute for the King of the Ring tournament of men. Zelina won the tournament and it marked the beginning for the main event push for her.
She also won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship along with Carmella. But she remained missing for a number of months before finally returning recently as a member of the Legado Del Fantasma faction where she replaced Elektra Lopez. It looks like once again she would be pushed in WWE.
Zelina Vega who is also the winner of the Inaugural Queen’s Crown tournament recently spoke to Busted Open Radio where she explained how she proved her reliability in WWE. Zelina is currently working on Friday night Smackdown as a member of the Legado Del Fantasma. She said;
“The nice thing is, I feel I have a little more control over where I’m going now. Now, people are able to see me in a similar light, but they have no idea what’s going to come after this. They have no idea why I’m with the group I’m with. I think all of these questions are going to be answered soon. That’s the fun part.
“You keep having people wanting more. One thing people have always wanted to see is, ‘when is Zelina going to be in the title picture? When is Zelina going to be the leader for herself?’ I’m gonna be, but I’ve never aligned myself with people that I didn’t see as stars. This group is on another level. To be able to help introduce them to the WWE Universe, it’s a new chapter in my life. I’m excited to bring them to the forefront, but also, I’m right front and center. It’s cool.
“I’m the person you can trust. I’m the person where, when you need to have something done, when you need something to be good, when you need something to be over, you choose me. It makes perfect sense. The group that I’m with, they want to succeed, they want to upgrade, what do they do? They call me. Going forward, I’ve upgraded other people, I’ve upgraded myself, I feel now I’m on a completely different level. It’s just going to get better and better and I’m excited for everyone to see.”
