Australia’s all-rounder Ashton Turner took 12 days to open his Indian Premier League (IPL 2019) account for its franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 27 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium against Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It has to be a rare unwanted record which a player could bag while having a lean patch.

The right-handed batsman Turner played his first-ever IPL match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on 16th of April at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

He then bagged two more ducks against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 20 and Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 22 respectively. Interestingly, owing to a first-ball duck, he bagged two only at his home ground in the Pink City – Jaipur.

Turner came to bat when Royals required 13 to win against the SRH.

The big-hitter Turner, who had a nightmare during the ongoing IPL remained not out on three off seven balls alongside Sanju Samson 48 (32). The hosts chased the target of 161 in 19.1 overs with seven wickets in hand.
