Royal Challengers Bangalore bowed out of Vivo IPL 12 after the 49th match of the tournament was washed out owing to persistent rain. There was a big downpour in Bangalore which prevented a scheduled start. After the toss which was won by the Royal Challengers Bangalore persisted rain didn’t allow the match to start.
After a 3 and a half hour delay, the match started eventually and the match was curtailed to a 5 overs affair. It was Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers who came out to open the innings. It was a sensational start by Virat Kohli in the very first over as Varun Aaron was smashed by the RCB skipper all around the park. He started off with a couple of sixes in the first two deliveries as Bangalore scored 23 runs in the first over.

Virat Kohli began with a six and a four in the first two deliveries of the 2nd over of Shreyas Gopal. However, the leg-spinner came back in style and bagged a sensational hat-trick. After bagging the wicket of Virat Kohli, Gopal dismissed AB de Villiers and Marcus Stoinis to complete a brilliant hat-trick. Wickets kept tumbling as Bangalore eventually reached 62 in 5 overs at the loss of 7 wickets.
Rajasthan Royals started off brilliantly with the opening duo of Sanju Samson and Liam Livingstone looking in superb touch. Samson looked in superb touch and Livingstone also struck some exceptional shots. He raced off to 28 of 13 deliveries which were studded with a couple of fours and 3 sixes. Liam Livingstone also started off with a few good shots.

Yuzvendra Chahal was introduced in the 4th over and the leggie gave RCB the much-needed breakthrough in the form of Sanju Samson’s wicket. After the fall of Samson’s wicket, the rain started pouring down heavily yet again which eventually meant the match was abandoned.
