Smackdown will present its next edition with Clash of Champions happening in less than three weeks. The pay-per-view and match card for the event would be the sole focus of the show as WWE has taken a slow but steady policy to build up the storylines. Heading into tonight, we expect multiple matches to become official for the event happening in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Sasha Banks Returned To Action On WWE Raw After Five Months

The mystery attacker storyline around Roman Reigns would be the obvious headline for Smackdown as we are yet to learn about the concerned guilty. The WWE Championship rematch between Randy Orton and Kofi Kingston should also get announced on the show. Plus, the King of the Ring tournament will continue with two more matches as the show comes live from the Raising Cane’s River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Lousiana.

Huge Universal And Tag Team Titles Match Announced For Clash Of Champions

The mystery around who attacked Roman Reigns trying to take away his life continues on Smackdown Live. As per the reports and Buddy Murphy’s confessions, Daniel Bryan and Rowan did that on purpose. But we are yet to know why they would do so. Meanwhile, the former tag team champions are up to proving that they are innocent people for the past couple of weeks.

They have delivered a beatdown on Buddy Murphy for wrongly accusing them of the attack on. But the former Cruiserweight Champion sought redemption by picking up the biggest win of his career by defeating Daniel Bryan on Smackdown. An irate Bryan went for another attack alongside presenting a replica of Rowan who allegedly caused the attack on Roman Reigns. Heading into tonight’s show, the question will be whether we receive clarification on the situation or the drama will continue.

The only Clash of Champions match announced from last week was the Smackdown women’s championship match where Charlotte Flair will challenge Bayley in her hometown. The Queen seemed all confident to pick up the title for the tenth time on her career and thereby bringing back the prestige to the title. But the reigning champion pushed her off the pedestal to insult her. So we guess Flair will be coming after her to take revenge.

Speaking of this, bring us to the WWE Championship scenario where Kofi Kingston must be having the same goal in his mind. The alliance between Randy Orton and The Revival has become unstoppable in recent times who massacred The New Day with several attacks. The WWE Champion did manage to backfire on last week’s Smackdown hitting Orton with Trouble in Paradise. But he won’t be stopping until getting a match against him. This must be a setup for a title rematch from Summerslam at Clash of Champions.

The King of the Ring tournament continues on Smackdown where two youngsters will get their chance to glory whereas two former tag team partners will also collide. In the first matchup, Buddy Murphy will be in action against Ali in a match that should be a show-stealer. The juggernaut battling the athletic Ali should be a match to remember for a long time no matter who wins the bout. In the other contest, Chad Gable returns to action battling Shelton Benjamin in a friend vs. friend scenario from the past. We pick Murphy and Gable as the winners from the respective lineups.
