WWE Raw aired last night with the indication that we may officially get the main event of Clash of Champions. King of the Ring tournament continued with two fresh matches on the show. Plus, the Smackdown women’s champion made a rare appearance to compete on the show which took place the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Will The Undertaker Be Part Of Clash Of Champions PPV?

Sasha Banks opened this week’s WWE Raw explaining her hiatus from the show. She talked about the frustration building on ber since Wrestlemania 35 where Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey main-evented but she wrestled in a less important match. So she came back to earn the spotlight by attacking Natalya and Becky. Soon Nattie appeared to the ring to start a brawl as the officials came out to separate these two superstars.

We received a backstage segment to learn that Braun Strowman will challenge Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions.

King of the Ring First Round Match was the opening contest of WWE Raw between Ricochet and Drew McIntyre. The fight continued at the outside where McIntyre gained control by slamming him into the barrier and the steel steps. Ricochet flew in with a missile dropkick but Drew came back with a huge Glasgow Kiss headbutt in mid-air and a sitdown powerbomb. Ricochet countered with a Recoil and hit the 630-splash to pick up the win.

Another King of the Ring First Round Match was next on WWE Raw where The Miz took on Baron Corbin. Miz cut a promo on becoming an Awesome King by winning the tournament. Miz started the match with strikes into the corner but Corbin dropped him with a clothesline. Miz countered with a Skull Crushing Finale for a near fall. He went for the springboard but Corbin hit an End of Days to pick up the sudden win.

Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley was out next on WWE Raw to compete in a match against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Nikki Cross. Cross took control by dropping Bayley on the apron. Bayley sent Cross to the apron and delivered a high knee and a Stunner over the middle rope. She delivered a sidewalk slam followed by a big elbow drop from the top rope to defeat Cross.

A Tag Team Turmoil match was next on featuring teams Heavy Machinery, The Revival, The B Team, The Lucha House Party, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, The Viking Raiders, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson with the winner becoming new number one contenders to the WWE Raw Tag Team Titles. By the end of the contest, Ziggler hit Otis with a Zig Zag while Roode planted him with a Glorious DDT to get the pinfall win and a title shot at Clash of Champions.

Sasha Banks made her in-ring return on WWE Raw against Natalya. A brawl started the match with Nattie taking control slamming her opponent into the barricade and hitting a suplex on the floor. But Banks came back targeting the injured arm of Natalya. She dodged a Sharpshooter attempt and countered with a backstabber before sliding into the Bank Statement, forcing Natalya to tap out. Banks continued to punish Natalya with the submission even after the match was over.

Cesaro vs. Cedric Alexander was the next matchup on WWE Raw which began with some quick moves from Cedric. But soon Cesaro took control of the match hitting an uppercut followed by a gutwrench suplex. Cesaro hit a huge superplex for another 2 counts followed by a Half Crab. Cedric finally came back with a modified Spanish Fly and countered an Ankle Lock attempt with a Lumbar Check for the victory.

The main event of this week’s WWE Raw featured a WWE United States Title Match with the lineup Braun Strowman vs. AJ Styles. The match ended in a disqualification as Gallows and Anderson attacked Strowman after he hit AJ with a Powerslam. The trio tried to attack the monster who fired back. He unloaded some chair shots on three of them before planting AJ with a Running Powerslam. Strowman stood tall as the show went off the air.
