The entire world is going through a tough phase right now courtesy of the coronavirus pandemic. It made the world unpredictable to live in creating a certain situation that we have never seen before.
All the sporting events have been put into a halt, as of late including the huge pro-wrestling shows like Wrestlemania or Summerslam. WWE, however, continued hosting weekly programs from the Performance Center.

In the upcoming months, however, WWE would have to make some tough decisions while moving forward. Some of the pay-per-view events have to be rescheduled including the biggest event of the summer. WWE would be hosting SummerSlam on August 23rd, as per the schedule but no official announcement is available whether this event will be changed or not.
WrestleMania 36 had to be canceled from the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It’s uncertain if large events will be allowed to happen in the SummerSlam host city of Boston, Massachusettes by August 23rd.

The positive thing is that the TD Garden is still planning to host the biggest party of the summer. They haven’t canceled the show from their side which still leaves a ray of hope around the show given the COVID situation improves.
Balor Club Guy, a superfan who tries to attend almost every major pro wrestling event posted a response that he received from the TD Garden in Boston. The venue officials informed him that SummerSlam is still on their calendar,
“As of today, we have not received any updates from WWE regarding changes to SummerSlam, so it is still scheduled as planned. Any updates regarding the event will be posted to our website here: https://www.tdgarden.com/events/detail/wwe-summerslam-2020. We also suggest checking WWE’s website and social channels for the most up-to-date information.”

WWE still has times left to evaluate the situation as the event inches closer. The company had to relocate WrestleMania and Money In The Bank and they won’t be willing to do so with SummerSlam, for sure. We can only hope that the third big-four pay-per-view of the year won’t get impacted by Coronavirus pandemic.
Money In The Bank will take place at the WWE Performance Center as well as the Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut whereas the next pay-per-view Extreme Rules is scheduled for July 19th in San Jose, California.
No word is out on whether that event will be intact in the calendar. WWE will have to figure out something if California doesn’t let them organize the scheduled show in San Jose.
