The 25-year-old Indian wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson has recently praised the former Indian World Cup-winning captain and senior wicket-keeper batsman, MS Dhoni, for achieving big status despite coming from the small town. The youngster believes that it is not possible to copy Dhoni.
The 38-year-old MS Dhoni is one of the most famous cricketers in the world. He has been loved by the cricket fans for a long time for his outstanding batting skills with incredible successful finishing style, smart wicket-keeper, a powerful captain with a calm and cool mind etc.
Dhoni made his international cricket debut in December 2004 and since then, he has played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20Is. As a right-handed batsman, wicket-keeper and long-time captain, Dhoni has broken a lot of top records in international cricket history. Under his captaincy, India achieved many successes, including reaching the top position in the ICC Test rankings, winning the many trophies including ICC World T20 2007, ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, ICC Champions Trophy 2013 etc.

Starting the international career as a Ranchi-boy, Dhoni has inspired a lot of people, including the small town cricketers. Sanju Samson, who came from Trivandrum (now known as Thiruvananthapuram) in Kerala, feels emotional when he talks about Dhoni.

Samson recently told Chennai Super Kings’ social media presenter Rupha Ramani, “A guy coming from Jharkhand and becoming India’s greatest captain ever. I feel very emotional whenever I talk about Dhoni.”
You just cannot copy MS Dhoni: Sanju Samson
After making an international debut in July 2015, Samson has played only four T20Is, including three in this year. The youngster also claimed that nobody could replace Dhoni.

Samson added, “You tend to observe his game and then try to copy him but you fail. You just cannot copy him or get into his shoes.”
MS Dhoni last time played the cricket match during the heart-breaking semi-final defeat against New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 on 10th July 2019. Since then, he made himself unavailable for the selection of the Indian limited-overs sides.
Though Dhoni was eyeing to return to the game during the IPL 2020 as the captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK), coronavirus has forced to delay his comeback.
